Dude, I feel you on people always bashing stock plugins. My first couple of projects that's all I used and it sounded great, to the point where those are what I immediately go back to for certain things. I use the stock compressor from Logic on Snare's on the Studio FET setting. It hits so hard. I will use SSL E Channel EQ'S on most of my busses, get a good basic sound then triage the individual tracks (when needed) with the stock EQ in Logic. It's just become my go to.

Hey quick question, i don't have the sesion to clarify but there are 8 tracks of rhythm guitars.Are those guitars 8 different takes or 4 stereo tracks?

So basically he starts with guitar tracks that already sound amazing before he even does anything to them, and then he turns the volume up. I guess that's how you get lead guitars that cut through the mix all right.
