The thing is that we have different heights throughout the day. Generally, we are slightly taller in the morning compared to later in the day. As we move about, across the day, we shrink. This is because gravity compresses our bodies. But once we lie down again, gravity no longer pulls us down, so our bodies stretch and we are able to return to our taller height once more. But eventually, with age, many of us stay shorter as our spine wears and collapses.

For people in comments that dont know anything about height IRL. 180cm legit barefoot is less common than people think, not saying its some unique thing or super rare but most 5ft 9 or 5ft 10 guys will almost always claim 180cm lol which they usualy are 1-2inches off. 180-184cm "tallish", 185 start of tall, 190cm start of very tall. Conan being 193cm is very tall. And 6ft 2 (188) is a weird figure because I wouldn't say your very tall at 6ft 2 cuz your shy of the 190 + guys, but you are also taller than 6ft 1 guys so defs talll. However, even at 6ft 1 (185) you wont "stick out" in a mass public area youll just be aesthetically nice and tall. But to stick out and always get told you are tall by everyone, thats prob 6ft 3+ guys (190cm)

Why they care about people height?

You loose a inch throughout day and Jake looks about 5 11.45 if we give him .25 back through height loss through day , so angle of camera is messed up a bit makes him look shorter

Incorrect way of measuring a woman or man. I have had this problem my whole life 😂.
Measuring tapes undermeasure a humans height (by 3-7cm depending on device). 12 inch rulers superglued.
Or, marked on a wall is the most accurate form (besides dmv or height computers) barefeet.
I didn't stop growing until I was about 21 (genetics).
And when I was measured they used tapes and scale height bars.
And the metric cm side of the ruler is more accurate as also.
I would say Jake is barefeet 182.3cm (71.7 inches) 5'11.7" or 6'0" barefeet.
Makes a big difference on the outcome.

That looked more like 5'10 and 3/4, maybe 5'11 AT MOST. With thick soles he can pull off 5'11 and 1/2, possibly even 6" depending on the shoe. In any case, the guy is slightly above average height, I don't know why he's being singled out!!
