That be great stuff for finishing reveals
ОтветитьGreat work mate
ОтветитьGreat video and just brilliant to see a master craftsmen take such pride in his work.
ОтветитьClass vid mate
ОтветитьLooks like good stuff to use 😊
ОтветитьHi Blaine. Slightly off topic. Just wondering if you know much about Google Business. I saw you on the trowel talk podcast the other day and you mentioned that you use or have used Google business. I know that you said it is free to create an account, but are the any charging fees later on or? I googled it and it didn't really give me a straight answer. But it did say Workspace charges you. Is this the same as Google business? Cheers.
ОтветитьYou need to do some plasterboard videos dude. I struggle more with that than plastering
ОтветитьIs that a feather edge rule?
ОтветитьFantastic bit of work there pal 👍
Ответитьdo you reckon this gear will last as long though to sand and cement
ОтветитьProblem with seaside towns the salt air batters the render.if they can afford it full hack off and lime render with lime base paint to let the wall breathe in a ideal world but people will go off cost.good job tho as I'd walk away from those jobs not worth the hassle.
ОтветитьAint fixing the problem what so ever lime has the breathe all the sand and cement render needs to come off
ОтветитьNice job Blaine, patching looks a real art
ОтветитьHat off to ya, a lot of spreads would have walked away from a job like that. Ocr game changer, has been for years. Nice job mate.
ОтветитьIs awesome to see how each country doing the things in each way. Here in Brazil, we use the same tools like your "floating diamond" and your sponge. To render an entire wall we first use the coat to build guides in edges of the wall. So after it, we apply the coat in one layer. And with a "ruler", basically an aluminum rule to cut the coat using the guides. After it we fill again the holes and more rulers...After it we use your float diamont to smooth everything. And to finish, the sponge. Of course with help with like a brush tool to spray water in wall to help.
We call "rebocar" the process to apply coat. Normally we dont use any electric machine to do this.
Thank you for your videos.
me personally I took the lotto off then you can give a guarantee
Ответитьlove your vids mate. spot on.
that one coat render, can it be painted over just with masonry paint??
good job
Ответить👍👍
ОтветитьGreat videos, very helpful. Have you any thoughts on hairline cracks in a sand and cement external rendered wall of a house, what would be good to fill these with prior to painting.
ОтветитьLooks like nice product to use. I've seen your video about plastering chimney stack for wood burning stove. If you were doing it again would you use weber or still go for sand and cement??
ОтветитьI noticed you were applying the render over the red painted brickwork, does this ever cause any issues, would you recommend removing the paint first or is it ok?
ОтветитьAnother great video, your videos have been such a big help to me. I got the OX speedskim ST and SF what a game changer have plastered two ceilings now, Iv'e just watched your video on Bond-it pregrit can I use this on a painted plaster board ceiling then skim with multi- finish or should I PVA then bonding coat then Multi? Many thanks you've saved me a lot of heart ache
ОтветитьCould u fix your trowel fella I blew my ten year old one up last year 😢
ОтветитьI am a fan of OCR but when you say the price of it not many people go for it!! Hack it all off and start again
ОтветитьA patch-Render on a normal house is a PAIN in the Dooh-Dah's .... On a building like that you need some sort of medal .... Fair play for cracking it out without too much hastle 🤠
ОтветитьTop finish 👏
ОтветитьWhere are you based
ОтветитьIs that Breathable mate ? I doubt it is. I ALWAYS use Lime if it's pre 80's.
60's/70's really. But just to be sure. Or if the joints were originally lime. People use sand and cement or stuff like this. And don't worry because it looks ok. Most of the time the bricks start spalling as soon as the weather starts to change and people don't see it because there's a slab of a nonbreathable material in the way.
And they are Brutal. Especially if no labourer. Most of my towns houses are like that. Good video. Good to know a bit about that one coat stuff. Brilliant When used in the right circumstances 👏💪👊✊👍
Cracking job BTW, I'd say that building is beside the ocean!?
ОтветитьNever seen that one coat render before, I'd say it's not cheap!
ОтветитьAnd forgot how far does a bag go
ОтветитьThe webber looks so much better to use so if u scratch one day and come back a few days later u just wet it down as normal and then lay top coat?
ОтветитьNice job Blaine did the accelerator help you much ? Did you blob it in water or when render mixed up?Thanks
ОтветитьFor rubbed render, the sponge has always been a friend, I love the scratch tool, I used to make mine out of old bicycle spokes and an old paint brush, my mixer was an old bicycle crank welded to a T bar made from old electrical zinc tubes they used in factories to feed the wiring around if I could make it rather than buy it I did,
ОтветитьAll those joins from new to old will crack when dry
ОтветитьHi mate abit of avise needed for a project at home. I built my mancave out of breze blocks I am wanting to render it using the weber monachouche coloured render the 2 coat same day way should I use the colour render as the base 1st coat or use a base coat render first? And can i do either a scratch finish or sponge float or does it have to be scratch which one would you suggest? Many thanks Luke
ОтветитьDo a pebble dash one
ОтветитьGot a patch to do on my pebbledash…. Gonna be using this stuff. Probably only use half a bag. Plan is to seal brickwork with the sika sealer then give it a scratch cost then a 2nd coat then flick over it with the tyrolean gun. Then it’s a full exterior decorate and new soffits facias and gutters. I do up houses for a living and it’s always your own that’s half done!
ОтветитьAny reason for no beads? And what are the chances of it cracking and bcoming an issue here? I'm guessing that the webber stuff musn't shrink when it's fully cured?
Ps: thanks, what you do for the plastering trade is 👌🏼 appreciate the help
Great Job, where was this ? very nice seaside sounds
ОтветитьWhat the best way to clean these sponge? Ready to use again straight after?
Ответить👍🏻👌love the video
ОтветитьLime render will outlive anything else and won't cause damp like this will endlessly
ОтветитьAnother great video thanks Blaine!
ОтветитьBrave man taking it on
ОтветитьQuality work as always.
I've never used weber ocr.
U say u would highly recommend it.
I normally use baumit system ie kzp
Is it on same level as this as. I love kzp.
Looked great when you was using the sponge, it just blended lovely satisfying.
Ответить👷 safety first. helmet pls
