Toyota 4Runner Anytime Backup & New Front Facing Camera Kit Installation

I've watched several of these videos, and this one stands out as the best among them. It saves a lot of time assembling the wiring harness on a bench rather than in the Truck. Also, You do not disassemble unnecessary components. It offers a straightforward approach to installation. Thanks, guys!

Is the quality better than factory installed? The factory installed suck like we back to 1999.

My 4runner doesnt have an available spot where you put the button(heated steering wheel button is there) would I just run the wire from the back of the head unit behind the steering wheel and to an available spot?

Used this video to help me install these in my 2023 4Runner yesterday. It was very helpful, but this wasn't the easiest of installs. It's all working now though, so thank you.

Note: the wire that was coming off of the camera RCA has now been changed to green, so there are no more mismatching color connections. However, even their own pdf install guide doesn't note this. Connections are the same, but this tripped me up a bit.

Where can you mount this on a 2020 4runner Limited? The radar is angled forward at the top to prevent camera installation above it. Can the camera be mounted below it without interfering with the radar?

I confirm install on 2022 5th Gen SR5 Premium 4R. The Anytime BCKUP Cam 2020+ works! Nothing much to change from what the video shows. Wiring path is optional. Use flextube to protect wirings. Thanks, Trail Grid Pro!

I have the rear camera relocation kit from Anytime backup camera installed due to a RiGd Ultraswing. I want to add this Front facing anytime Camera kit, but I am not sure how the wiring would be done. Do you guys have any insight on how to do this install? Thanks in advance!

Another happy camper! Great video and thank you for NOT being talked into a music background. You present just the facts and that's exactly what I'm looking for. One thing I do a little different with the firewall grommet - instead of using a blade to cut the grommet (which obviously works fine) I heat up the end of a small punch and make a hole just a little smaller than needed - carefully of course. This way when I run the cable through the grommet it tends to seal itself very well. Either way works just fine.

I can confirm that this product works perfectly on a 2022 SR5 Premium. I have the factory grill that has the oval logo (not the TRD Pro grill shown on almost every video about this product). Pro Tip (learned the hard way): Mount the camera toward the front edge of the grill trim. If you mount it too far back, like touching the TSS plastic rectangle, the flange nut that goes on the camera threads will be too close to a plastic brace inside the grill. If that doesn’t make sense, just drill your hole further toward the front of the grill than you think you need to.

What if I’m installing the anytime front/rear camera but using the rigd supply rear relocation kit for the ultra swing on a 5th gen 4 runner?

But when I switch to the front camera both lights on the switch light up. When on the rear camera the rear illuminates only which is the way it should be

Was wondering why remove the grid lines to the front cam? Obviously there is no warning beep but having the distance marked off, once you know the distance would be very helpful. Any suggestions?

I would like to see a future kit where cameras attached to the side mirrors and you had an on demand left/right view directed at the front tires with similar toggle switch control or even turn signal switch control.

Does the rear cam still come on automatically when shifting to reverse?

We have one of these on our 2017 and it's a game changer when off-roading. My wife uses it all the time when parking especially with the front bumper it helps her to see how close she is without hitting anything. Especially when the person in the spot in front is over the line into your spot.
