I'll stay with the original C2 erg
Ответитьdont know how i ended up at mkbhd but for gym equipment
ОтветитьCan you please review the Body-Solid Endurance (CL300) Vertical Climber Exercise Machine, this seems to be a serious competitor to the Versa Climber magnetic at 1/4 the cost!
ОтветитьWaiting for C2 to do a high wall mount skierg 😅
ОтветитьThis should only cost $400 waiting for titan fitness version
Ответить"How long will it take to rub it off, I don't know. Will it eventually? Absolutely."
The eternal struggle.
I have this and the rope. Was happy to pay the premium price to save what minimal space I have.
ОтветитьConcept 2 cannot be replicated. Duplicated or matched. The value of the concept 2 and the module and the community cannot be beat. I will always stick with the original AUTHENTIC designs- the best are the best for a reason.
ОтветитьI'd like to see how accurate the calories and meters are compared to the C2. Maybe make a video on it? I'd find it hard to decide to purchase it if it doesn't match 1:1 with the C2 because I do CrossFit workouts.
Ответитьdont think you ever did a review on inspires multigyms like body lift bl1 which i think is great, its way safer than all these freeweight setups of yours. How about doing a few reviews?
ОтветитьCant justify this at $1000
ОтветитьThe only way I would buy this is if it were cheaper than c2.
ОтветитьVery intriguing option especially with the space savings compared to the Concept SkiErg.
Definitely want to know on durability and Torques customer support. SkiErgs are just high wear devices and Concepts customer support is stellar.
Link for price?
ОтветитьLove the idea of a SkiErg because of the small footprint. But I guess I just think a cardio item that doesn’t use/have resistance for your legs seems weird to me…
ОтветитьCool Kettlebells in the back, What are the names of those skull shaped Kettlebells?
ОтветитьIs some Assambly required?
ОтветитьIf they fixed the cord rub, make the lever shorter like a handle, and made the mount a little more seamless to a rack - It would be instant buy for me. Hopefully V2.0 is an improvement.
ОтветитьAlpha dads don't buy wall mounts. We fabricate our own.
ОтветитьNormally I'd dismiss Skierg competitors out of hand, but rackmounting might give them a reason for being. Although your suggestion at the end is spot on, if there was some modularity to keep the cost down if you get multiple Relentless machines. Titan was protyping a rack-attached endless rope at HGC and you have to think their price will be competitive.
ОтветитьThat price is just STUPID.
ОтветитьI wish, as other person said in the comments that more had been said about the inertia factor, C2 is forgiving on that you can pull hard and take a second between pulls at mid range damper settings but likely on this machine, given how magnetic resistance works, should not be as forgiving (if any at all). More details about the actual experience of using it would be great.
As for price point, it depends on the need:
If you care for your wall and floor space (most garage gym owners) and don’t care for the workout data storage, then this is a great product idea. C2 doesn’t make this cheaper really, if you want to open the wall space you need to pay also for the stand, which is very expensive IMO. Also C2 charges 100 for shipping, when all is added C2 ends up being more expensive than torque even when including the wall mount because shipping is free on this item
if you don’t care for wall space and don’t want to move it around, then C2 is a no brainer. It is a cheaper option and well known.
If you want something you can move around, the only option is C2, but it is not cheap really. Also consider with the stand not only takes wall space but now also floor space (if not space constrained then who cares, but if you are, then something to consider).
I own a C2 skierg and it is mounted to the wall, I wouldn’t sell mine to buy this really, but if I was in the process of buying, this would have been a serious option to consider to get back that space in the wall to move other machines closer and open more floor space, or put hangers under it for storing bands and other stuff which doesn’t get in the way of its use
Excellent, honest review. I actually am surprised skierg is your favorite machine. I have one and the C2 rowerg and much prefer the rowerg. I do use them both, but average 100-150k a month on rowerg and only 10-20k on Skierg. I have mine on the stand and in a garage gym where space is at a premium, I like the idea of the Torque a lot. I have their sled and love it. Great company.
ОтветитьI wonder if you could swap those pulley brackets with each other, so the rounded side of them is facing out. That might fix the rubbing issue on the rope without having to cut anything.
ОтветитьI have to have it! You can truly skip going to corporate gym all together now!
ОтветитьConcept 2 could easily mimic this by shifting the flywheel to the top surely?
ОтветитьReview the Ironmaster IM2000 please!
ОтветитьWould 100% buy this with a nice upcharge if there were a possibility to swap out the rope as you mentioned! Hopefully it's possible.. However, as-is I wouldnt even consider buying before the pulley fix. Will def be looking into this in the future for the rack mounting option though. That's huge.
Ответитьcombine it with the Ropee and Im in
ОтветитьCan you do a video on stall bars? I know I want some but I don't know what to look for when buying them.
ОтветитьLooks cool but is faaaarrrrrrr too expensive to compete.
ОтветитьOver priced
ОтветитьI'd rather have dental work done through my rectum than go Nordic skiing. But given the price I'd go with C2.
Ответить999$, for that I might as well just get the Concept Skierg...
Ответить“Doody cycle”
ОтветитьNot gonna buy then when it's more expensive lol
ОтветитьIts a no for me...1) way to expensive compared to concept 2) Paying for a wall mount pisses me off 3) The rubbing of the cord is bad and will cause wear
ОтветитьRack mountable? Okay. Most likely on a horizontal frame. At what height would that horizontal frame need to be to put the handles at 8 feet?
ОтветитьI can think of a 100 better ways to spend a grand in my gym. I do love the fact it can be mounted on the wall and out of the way. I will stick with my heavy bag for conditioning work. Thanks so much for the review. As always great job.
ОтветитьIt needs to be a lot cheaper
ОтветитьNeed bluetooth to track my workout... before I would buy this. You could not give me a cycling trainer or any cardio equipment without Bluetooth
ОтветитьThe SkiErg is perfect, and takes up hardly any space, easily mounts on wall, air resistance is perfect.
Not sure what the point of this thing is. Filling a demand that doesn't exist?
Off topic but can you please do a review on Major Fitness Adjustable Bench PLT01. i think it must be new as there isnt really any reviews about it but the price point is really making me intrigued. apparently has a 1300lb capacity and on sale for $220.
ОтветитьThere is Concept2 and then there is everyone else. Cool idea, but I am sticking with C2.
ОтветитьLooks like you need a pretty high rack for this thing not to get in your way. And I'd be leery of mounting it on a 2x4 wall given the dynamic horizontal loads it creates.
ОтветитьI’ve been waiting for a review. A bit expensive but worth it. I understand the Ripper isn’t an end game to C2 skierg but as a 2 car garage gym owner, floor space is a premium. I don’t like clutter. Im already rocking a Jacob’s Ladder 2, Rogue echo bike, and C2 rower. I’m good with the Ripper being an excellent alternative to the skierg. Torque Fitness is making some quality equipment. The design looks pretty sweet to me.
Ответитьas someone who works with engineer's, your comment about knowing somethings would be nice, but probably can't be done got me rolling lmao.
ОтветитьIf I am gonna drop a grand, I will just get the concept 2. The reliability of the concept 2 keeps it as king of the mountain.
ОтветитьTo each his or her own. However, in my opinion, the best way to do cardio exercise is to do something that you enjoy doing, which includes playing ping pong, basketball, or using a Fitness First medicine ball rebounder. I had a Nordic Track ski exercise machine before. I got rid of it because IMO exercising on a ski machine is boring.
ОтветитьI was sold until I saw the price. 😭
