Hi, I love the tip on keeping the original box. I buy a lot of new stuff and I've been throwing the box away. I won't do that any more. I also buy stuff on Craigslist by offering 25% less, and I bookmark the link. I then wait 3 days and if the item is still there. I offer 15% less. They always take it.

Oh question: how do you reply to an email received for one of your items for sale? I do not want to disclose my actual email address, yet when I hit reply (in my email) it shows the FROM as my real/actual email instead of the alphanumeric Craigslist email. Hope that makes sense!

If you accept cash than you might not have to pay taxes..there's no way Uncle Sam would know that you're selling something. There's no paper trail...if you accept check..you'd then have to pay taxes.

I listed a bunch of stuff on craigs list and cheaper than ebay items. No responses at all.
