Ayn Rand greatest fantasy author ever.
ОтветитьCrew, selfish woman yet fascinating...
ОтветитьShes a bitcoiner
ОтветитьI wonder what Ayn would think of society today
Ответитьexcellent interview. will the present course end in dictatorship? i wonder...
ОтветитьMenkind are social animals who use labor to make a life for themselves. Rand just takes capitalism to the extreme. So in the end you get a dystopia where a few bosses sit at the top. Which is how her novel Atlas Shrugged ends with a bosses strike made possible by a perpetual motion machine.
ОтветитьYou can sense that behind those eyes there is a giant inquisitive, depth full brain sitting
ОтветитьI feel that Wallace did an excellent interview. I read “Atlas Shrugged “ and have been interested in Rand for many years. This gave me the most insight in to her philosophy. Thank you.
ОтветитьA POLITICAL SCIENTIST requires a REAL DEGREE. Mrs. Rand, i agree with almost 💯%. Maybe she should have been listened to as her prediction is accurate. Thank you Gods for this video finding me and others that will make a difference for the correct reasons...LOVE and RESPECT ❤🌍🙏
ОтветитьThe media sucked then too.
ОтветитьAwesome! So many piss poor third world countries have exercised a similar philosophy.
It’s naked idealism with zero context or evidence to support her claims. We have over 170 counties and their histories to measure from. She’s clueless.
Deeply unserious thinker who claims only Aristotle influenced her and the rest of her ideas just sprang from her own head. She argues via negation, criticizing the world without offering concrete steps to get it where she thinks it should be. "if people were really free, completely free, then everything would work out fine." That's as deep as her philosophy goes. If this sounds like a teenager arguing that's because that's the level it reaches. Only the juvenile thinker would believe self interest will magically make everything better without ever mentioning the fact that, to have a political leader at all, or a philosophical one for that matter, one is giving up some freedom in exchange for security. Rational thought isn't all humans go on. Hormones and the nervous system are kind of important too. I could go on but I'll admit she's basically good at one thing at least: riling people up. Lol
ОтветитьI cant take anyone seriously who says very few people are worthy of love. She's a deeply juvenile thinker.
ОтветитьShe, was a true genius.
ОтветитьAyn Rand … you are absolutely correct and even more correct now . The dumb assholes did not understand you . I guess even now they won’t … just look at Indian society in general . There is no fucking altruism and fucking Christian values of brothers keepers nonsense and how successful Indians are outside of India . Just do a proper study and you will find Ayn Rand is 100% reflected cause GUJRATI sand Punjabis and other South Indians who are highly successful outside of India without taking anything from government or other people for being weak or pathetic and how these societies and communities have flourished
ОтветитьIn the late 1980s, we thought Ayn Rand was a bit nutty.
Now we realize she was soft pedaling the truth about the moochers and looters...
May God forgive us and heal our land.
She is an oligarchist.
ОтветитьWhat a woman!
Ответитьlol, about the uranium
Ответитьwell it came to pass, we are no longer free
ОтветитьSelfishness cloaked as philosophy.
ОтветитьI think Mrs Rosenbaum's ideas are flawed. I think Mike Wallace's ideas are flawed too, but it was he that was less open minded and somewhat accusatory so as to project his own ideas. I think Peter Robinson is a far better interviewer than any of the Wallaces.
ОтветитьUmm hello has capitalism made rand numb to the bone she doesn’t FEEL pleasure-displeasure, antipathy or sympathy joy or sorrow love or hate?
ОтветитьThat’s what graashth ashram is, you’re ordedto take care of others .
ОтветитьShe’s a damaged strange person, no doubt.
ОтветитьI see somebody cares about this self-promoting philosophy. It's just an opinion that something is immoral, I think it's not immoral to believe all religions. I don't agree with her opposition to payments by certain government schemes, welfare legislation's necessary. I'm still opposed to all kinds of control, but not if the boss has the right to control their employees, what was Ayn Rand thinking? Does she think morality of some sorts starts with good intentions and turns evil? There must be something wrong if a philosopher teaches you to rebel against all this.
Ответитьmiss Rand RESPECT from ETHIOPIA
ОтветитьSteve Jobs was a fan of her work. Let that sink in.
ОтветитьAna you are right if person free to his own well human will be happyly give back to society.
ОтветитьIt's wild to watch Ayn live out her book.
ОтветитьSo brilliant. Where is our modern day Ayn Rand? So badly needed.
Ответить65 years on, it seems like Rand was dead on.
Ответитьholy cow this woman is an
ОтветитьWait a minute! Was the interviewer smoking during this interview? 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьWhy does her eyes move like that
ОтветитьAn institute named after her??? Sucks there are so many scumbags in the world.
ОтветитьSo, love is the vertue which one's selfishness finds within another.
ОтветитьMy Goodness!!! was THIS how Americans conversed/debated? I guess that really was the "good old days".....I'm shocked how respectful and intelligent they both were.
ОтветитьThank God Wallace is gone, and his son is on CNN. Hack from 1959.
ОтветитьInterviewers is a beta cuck soyboy and Ayn Rand is self accountable G
ОтветитьBring back the good old days. She was right on a lot of points. Government is the middle man who forces a bargain.
The power to tax is the power to control, the power to control is the power to destroy.
Can you be “ your brothers keeper” when he is a drug addict? Collectivism is a nanny state for betas, police state for alphas
Uhh I like her
ОтветитьHer philosophy seems a little like a Vulcan.
ОтветитьHe should have let her talk more.
Ответить1997: "Ayn Rand's writing is way out there!"
2023: "Ayn Rand is definitely one of the more sensible writers..."
I read Fountainhead in high school and it made a huge impact on me. For years, Rand’s philosophy guided me in my life and career. But I was never truly an objectivist because I always knew it was missing an important part of reality. And that reality is human nature.
True selfishness lies in looking out for others. Because when you look out for others, they will also look out for you. In a connected world, it’s important to recognize that all our actions have repercussions. If we impact others negatively with our actions, they will respond negatively. If we impact others positively, they will also respond positively too.
The key to living a good life I’ve found is to forge our own destiny, to owe allegiance to no one, to be true to ourselves and most importantly, to love our fellowmen. The latter not because we want to be our brother’s keepers or for altruistic reasons, but because we want to surround ourselves with love and goodwill. This is the part that Rand missed. Human nature Is intrinsically selfish, why should others show love to me if I don’t show love to them? Unless of course if you believe in the myth of unconditional love which is a form of entitlement.
A life of pure selfishness where we’re only looking out for ourselves is a very lonely life indeed.
Mike Wallace was a pathetic slug who would have accepted being sent into a Gulag without resistance if he was told he didn’t care enough about a revolutionary terrorist or a junkie in the street. He’d happily drag the best of humanity down into the sewer with the worst to assuage his ridiculous sense of guilt. I say send people like him to Hell with his beloved dregs of society and leave the rest of us out of it.
Ответитьthis lady is randarted!
ОтветитьWhat a woman! I really do not understand, why modern feminism has not discovered this strong, self-determined, intelligent woman as their idol.
You act to achieve results by which you are valued. Such a simple approach bereft of religious blinders. Beautiful.
