Kotlin is utter stupidity. Bad Syntax , irrelevant and confusing concepts. Some syntax absolutely makes no sense.

It has been a very long time since I've done any programming for desktop computers, I have never developed for a mobile at the moment I don't know either language that you discussed, would I be OK for just learning Kotlin only? There is just an app I want to write for myself, but it is so useful it will make lots of money on the play store!

I'd like to add that when it comes to choosing a language, the first and the most preferred option for an Android app is definitely Java, the official or default language of Android Development. It is the one that most apps on the Play Store are built with. Large parts of Android are already written in Java and its APIs are designed to be called primarily from Java. Kotlin is relatively new and another official language (in addition to C++, primarily used to build APIs or libraries) for Android. And there may be many more to come and go, I don't know. So, language doesn't matter most, its just a tool. Java has been around for many many years, so we can find more solutions and tutorials online. And the great thing about Kotlin is its similarity in syntax and interoperability with java meaning we can call Kotlin from Java and vice versa. Anyone can find that on the official site. So, as a programmer, it's completely up to the person to choose which better suits their needs depending upon their specific requirements and features of the app. But as a beginner, I think it's better to choose Java for so many reasons as well as having an eye on Kotlin.

idk if you will ever get a notification of my comment , i just watched this video 15/5/2019 and i'm a Network Engineer , i want to study kotlin for android development , i just got into programming , i have some C/C++ basics and for java , well , only Java 101 , so can i just go to Kotlin directly without caring about java ? just for android development .

I can't undersatnd why programmers go to learn Java, RWAs or PWAs when Kotlin can make native apps for Andriod and IOs in Andriod Studio??
