Im a pilot and my multi engine rating instructor is an f35 pilot and says it's like flying a minivan. He said hed give anything to go back to f16s nothing works they are constantly grounded engines burn out in half the time of any other jets but they cant fly supersonic for too long or it damages them, cant shoot the cannon to much or it damages them, cant fly in bad weather you guessed it damages them. They call it fat Amy not out of affection. He said its a trillion dollar turd. He said he literally had to be cut out of the cockpit once because it got stuck. They force allies to buy them because of the costs associated with them. They want to move on from it but you cant put a trillion dollars into something to abandon it
