ОтветитьI can’t believe you don’t pronounce your name “good guys”
ОтветитьGreat Video!
One thing though, if You're planning to release on a console (and can cover the porting costs and time), try and combine this with your game's full PC release at the same time:
* You'll get more visibility from the credibility
* You'll save costs from focussing on a single marketing campaign.
slay i luv all ur vids!!😁
ОтветитьMe after the first 3 sec of this video: i had saw, and heard enought information, no need to watch the rest of the video to know how you actually make money from indie games.
ОтветитьGreat video! If you enjoy mobile roguelike games, be sure to check out the latest game I released, Mind Dungeon.
ОтветитьI went to a convention the other day a solo dev asked me to play his game at first i thought no but i just gave it a try and im searching for that game to this lmao
ОтветитьMost indie producers don't make money because they make clones and clones and clones, and just make different graphics, which usually socks.
It's easy: people are tired of playing the same stuff over and over and over.
They download the game, see that it's "just another platformer", try to see if there's something new, something worth to play, then uninstall, because all they get is "different" graphics, usually 8 bit style, just an excuse to make quick graphics or because the programmer is unskilled at graphics...
Guys, be real: if you don't have an IDEA for a game... just let it be.
Don't make another clone.
Search in example for "marble blast", and see the HUNDREDS of games all the same... or look at how many platformer games are out there, as mentioned.
The market is saturated by clones. Just don't add another one: you will just waste your time.
thank you sir.
ОтветитьI wish kickstarter was available in Ukraine. Are there any alternatives perhaps?
ОтветитьIf you consider anyone who disagrees with you or doesn't like you "nasty," you're not gonna get far.
ОтветитьHit
ОтветитьGame jolt is another good place to sell games.
Ответитьsome of these games that you showed look amazing where can i find all of them?
Ответить"I am no Toby Fox" is something that Toby Fox would say.
ОтветитьEvery game I made that I've tried to market and grow only recieved 2 downloads :( But your video will help significantly!
ОтветитьI don't want to sell my games but it's still a great video
ОтветитьI'd never support an Indie crappy dev
ОтветитьMoney certainly is a motivator as game development is my dream job which I have been trying to and just started on the path of it. My main motivation is to make games I'd enjoy playing because most games just don't satisfy me at all now.
ОтветитьI loved how you were talking about the importance of relationships in our lives in that team work tiny game and inmediatly after you were hacking your companion's head with your axe while saying "relationships are most of the important things we get in this life".
ОтветитьOnly The Indie Frenzy An Indie Game Rp
ОтветитьNot that game
ОтветитьLoving it! Just catching up with your channel :)
Ответитьnumber 1 rule to remember is game development takes time.
I started writing game ideas when I was 18 and didn't start working on a project till I was 23. I started on game maker 2 and switched to unreal after months of development time. yeah it slowed my development time but I'm getting better results. anyone can do it, you just have to commit and take the time. just believe in yourself.
Nice video! I'm not a developer, but a composer for games. Perhaps I'll write a blog about this subject for the developers I work with.
ОтветитьI think the first 3 seconds of the video contain the answer :D
ОтветитьWhat is the link to that genre generator. Been searching for it but couldn't find it!
ОтветитьAlso I'd like to point out: The Linux community is very supportive and helpful from what I've heard, and you'll become a hit in the Linux community if you make a good native Linux port.
Also, shoutouts to the Dreamcast community, because they also really like when people port their game to the Dreamcast.
Your videos are amazing
ОтветитьHi I love your videos keep up the good work this is so cool
ОтветитьWhat is that purple game generator thingy? I wanna use it!
ОтветитьGreat video! Will be taking on these ideas.
ОтветитьGreat video mate.

ОтветитьThanks for these tips hope i can sell my game 😅 still workin on it though
ОтветитьThank you for sharing with us!
