I also said I would never do drugs, I demonized the HELL out of cannabis and ANYONE that used it was lowlife scum. As I grew older I 100% was made to eat those words and they even served it with dessert because I'm all for complete decriminalization and declassification of ALL substances. Adults should be allowed to choose what goes in their bodies and when and at what dose. If they are an arsehole and do dumb shit while on drugs then the consequences are on them and they have to pay for them. Know your limit and have fun in this life. We don't get long.

My mom told me that if you took one ecstasy pill, you're gonna die. She told me that if you smoke weed, it gets stuck in your spine and brain and you'll be high all the time. She also told me that if you do shrooms, you'll get paranoid forever. She basically pointed at a junkie when we were walking around in the city, and said you'll become like him if you ever do drugs. I'm an adult now and I've smoked a lot of cannabis, did MDMA and Molly around 20 times, cocaine and shrooms. It was the weed that made me realize that it was all a lie. And I've honestly only had fun, introspective, ego-death inducing, cool, spiritual, loving and good experiences. It made me more empathetic, reflected, understanding, forgiving of myself and others and kind. I'm done with some on the drugs as I've had my time with them. As soon as a substance isn't adding to you anymore, it's time to say thanks and bye to them. But cannabis in daily life and shrooms once or twice a year is amazing for my soul. I would actually love to smoke weed with my son or daughter when they're old enough.

It's so conflicting. My entire childhood life I was told constantly "drugs are bad" and no other way about it. At like 14 my mom then decided to casually tell me she did weed multiple times. The contradiction fuсked me up.

I cringed, parents attempting to justify weed smoking. Wow! Sad and conflicting for the role model to as they use to say, “Do as I say not as I do” parenting is very hard.
