i'm using this function with asp.net button and its not working. the text is copied to the div but due to refreshment of page on button click, it goes away... any solution??

Watching all 200 doesn't make a programmer!! Make sure you don't watch as if ya watching TV series.... make sure you implement it!!

what is the difference between text() and html() functions. I tested an example and they give the same result?

this works too: $('#copy').html( $('#text').html() ); no need for variable to transfer.
