If you have a plan to buy a CLK, C-Class, CL-Class or an E-class, these tips will help you to find the issues quickly and if you already have one of these cars it will definitely help you find out earlier, avoid, diagnose and prepare to fix. Please let me know the other issues that I have missed. thank you as usual for watching

accurate video. i just had my valve cover gaskets replaced as they were leaking. also my headlights got pretty foggy but i fixed them with a turtle wax headlight restoration kit. my glove box latch is completely broken, the previous owner sealed it shut with a screw. my driver side headrest stopped working in the up position, i somehow managed to move it down then just unplugged the motor since the seat cant go forward to let people in when its all the way up. my sunroof also isnt working at all, it was like that since i bought it. but other than those issues its a great reliable car. i currently have 170000kms on it

The brake sensor under the dashboard is also a common failure on most cars.

Great video. I own a pristine now 18 yr old 2005 CLK 320 with under 75k miles, and I had all that you mentioned replaced and or repaired to include the valve cover gasket, crank shaft sensor, purge valve, breather line, fuel system attended to, motor and transmission mounts, cabin & engine filters along with 3k interval oil changes. These classic coupes with the M112 or M113 is a joy to own and drive and I still get compliments wherevever I go. Best thing to have on your side when you own a Mercedes, is to avoid stealerships for repairs or maintenance and locate a good Indie privately owned Mercedes shop that have certified Mercedes master mechanics.

The biggest problem in this model is rust on doors and fenders. In my CLK from 2003 I had it plenty.

Hi I have a 2009 Mercedes Benz clk 500 the car doesn’t move in drive gear but every other gear works …. Mercedes-Benz dealership charged me $250 to not explain nothing but say I recommend a transmission $10,000 .. DO YOU NO WHAT THE ISSUE MAY BE

Glad to see you pointed out the Orings on connector at transmission for electrical connection.
I replace it every 50K miles or so when I service the transmission. You didn't mention the leaky cam magnets that can wick into the engine harness though. Mercedes used to update by adding wiring pigtails that went between the magnets and the engine harness. Was a free thing at the dealer, but no idea if it still is. It's easy to do yourself if need be, and I'm sure they can be purchased for very little.
