Thank you for your time and effort. By the way do you know any USB WiFi adapter that can support OpenWrt? Or any way to build a travel router using RPi 4 or CM4 without using the inbuilt WiFi?

The closest thing there is to the generic portable modem and the benefits of the custom one is the GL.iNet GL-E750.

just use a refurb intel box that is more better in all ways than pi spam - we are on edge of wifi7 which will be better but it is overhyped - going wired is still better - more secure and faster

Why is the video black?

I've considered building a hotspot for my car for streaming media, live navigation and ability to send camera footage to my home server. I'm fluent in linux and somewhat in OpenWRT. Where I have little knowledge of is the phone network side. I'm assuming I'd use a SIM card on my data plan with the respective board. Please do correct me if I'm wrong with any of this.

Are those antennas or are you just happy to see me?

Also include the possibility to on demand change into a tor-box?
Would you need dual boot for that or could it be done with just a script?
Maybe an idea to look into?
