What if you wanted to not waste the fur? This method looks quick but it basically tears right through the middle of the back, which is the bulk of the fur.

Just shot one in the gut with a 22 mag and it ripped his guts out can I still eat him or is the meat contaminated😢

I killed my first squirrel today but didn’t do a great job skinning it. Managed to get all of it off but I think my cut at the tail was way to high up. Hopefully next season I can do better.

Was worried about doing it with a kitchen knife. Squirrels keep eating my girls bird feed in the bird sanctuary. Killed a couple but didn't know how to skin them so I fed the local stray cats. Next time I get one I'm gonna stew him up.

Guts are good for bait if you like fishing

Valuable survival skills. And it gives me something constructive to do with all the squirrels my dogs catch and kill. Plus the way things are going learning how to feed yourself as much as possible is only prudent.

You ever have any issues with the hide pulling the meat off with it? Always seems to happen to me with Grey's. I even took it slow and made a few extra cuts, just happened again. Maybe squirrel was still too warm, any tips would be great! Good video

Well I just did it for the first time and mine didn't come out nothing like yours! Part of the problem was the 2 broadleaf darts from my blowgun mangled his front end pretty bad. But the rear legs were tasty! If not a little tough, after frying in vegetable oil

A good set of game shears is just as good as a knife with small game like this, especially since their skin can be so tight

I just learned this method recently after doing it the hard way for decades! Great video , even old dogs can learn new tricks!!
