Taking my test in 2 hours!!! 😭 this looks super easy but I’m nervous 🥲

If I be honest looking at this from a UK prospective I don’t think that the driving instructor would pass a uk test

I had 42 hours of lessons, in 1 hour slots over 6 months. The actual test in Scotland was nearly 1 hour long. I think the difference in the USA is the lack of roundabouts, it makes it much easier, and they have smooth roads. Most roads in the UK are based on cattle tracks.

This is an absolute doddle, I think someone that is registered blind could pass.

This guy failed for driving too slow. Put your foot down. Wish we could all do our driving test with no traffic around.

If driving test was this easy in UK I would have passed it the first time too. I did mine on a manual. In UK you just need a couple more lessons and you will have the skills of a pilot. Of course I am exaggerating but driving on UK roads are not easy.

Was this the entire test? Driving round the corner, do a Turn in the road, using forward and reverse gears, then driving back again, hardly constitutes a test.

I failed mine in Great Britain 7 times, but I have been driving for 30 years now. In a manual.

You Americans don’t realise how easy you’ve got it. No wonder 16 year olds are allowed to drive a test. You just drive on the most self explanatory roads possible. No roundabout in sight, and most of the roads have no parked cars on the roads

In Uk you need at least 30 minutes of practical driving which includes numerous manoeuvres, reversing, emergency stops etc. We also do manual cars.

Can anyone tell me why after turning left into a two lane road, the driver did not move to the right lane. As the right is normally the slower lane ?

So let's get this right.
You can drive really hesitantly, not get anywhere near the junction you're about to turn into and stop well short of the line (multiple times). You can spend three weeks doing a three point turn, then you can misunderstand the examiner and nearly miss the turning back into the test centre.
And you still pass? Surely this is a joke?

In the UK, new drivers are required to have several hours driving under tuition before being allowed to sit their driving tests.

Then the driving test is at least 45 minutes of quite difficult driving.

They also have to pass a difficult written exam, consisting of 46 difficult questions on road signs, speed limits, lane markings, legal technicalities, and lots more, and they cannot drive without having passed both the written test AND the practical driving test.

Ive long wondered why the driving standards in America are so abominable, and this is why. Te three Ps.

My first 2 tests were on busy roads I didn't ever know, parallel park in between 2 cars, sat nav for 20 mins, horrible double roundabouts I eventually passed on my 3rd try because all I had to do on that one was go through some streets one main road and reverse 2 spaces backwards 😂 they could have gave me that the first time hahah

She took 4 hours to turn the car around, didn't stop for the STOP sign, turned into the left lane without any reason and stayed there and went way too slow in general. And the test duration was about one tenth of what a normal one is and contained almost nothing. This was NOT a pass by any stretch of the imagination. And the examination is a joke.

Is that all you have to do to pass?

was ist denn das für ein Quatsch? Wir fahren hier eine Stunde lang durch irgendwelche großen Städte im Berufsverkehr, müssen ordentlich einparken, technische Details aufsagen (Wie den Rückstrahler) und am Ende gibts Leute, die ihren Führerschein nichtmal bekommen, weil sie einen Zug zuviel beim Umlenken machen oder so (wobei man das hier ja komplett vergessen kann).
Und dann kriegen die Amis den Schein einfach so für eine komplett sinnlose 5 Minuten Fahrt geschenkt und wundern sich wieso die soviele Verkehrstode haben...
Da war ja die erste Fahrstunde komplizierter als das xD

My British friends are both shocked and appalled having seen just how easy this so called "Test" is. You may as well give the candidates their licenses just for turning up and spelling their names correctly. Try looking at a few UK Driving Test videos. You will be in for a MAJOR shock!

I live in the UK. To pass my test I had to drive on busy roads for 45 minutes, do 2 reversing manoeuvres, and do an emergency stop. All in a car with manual transmission. The American test looks really easy to pass.
