Hi Darren: Thanks for the great video. I would love it if you know how to do audio ducking BEFORE someone starts talking. I have seen various tutorials on automatic ducking but the music only ducks once the dialogue actually starts. I really want to know if there is a way to get the music to start ducking about 10 frames BEFORE the dialogue starts though. Thanks in advance.

Hi Darren I really would like to see how to improve sound or modify (particularly voice but not exclusively) and then save the result as a preset. Also often using the normalise function does not always seem to equalise the volume across the project is there something I am missing. Oh great style of teaching btw.

At last! I now know how to browse the list. Ever since the sound library became available in Resolve I have been infuriated at not knowing how to browse the whole list and actually have gone over to FCPX to their sound effects and copied them over. Probably in the manual, I know, but I couldn’t find how there when I looked. Very annoying Resolve omission not to make it super obvious how to do this.

But I still have not able to understand the science or mathematics of nodes.

I have read the * method before - Is there wild card methods for search? If so - what is the criteria? Meaning with your example - in most databases one could search for engine and any sound with that in the title ( or keyword ) would then be presented. So ( haven't tested this but something like ) engine or whatever syntax that it has?

I love this channel. I rely on Adobe Sound Library. The Davinci sound library is a huge thing to add on.

As long as the sound library does not offer the possibility to filter on specific properties, such as duration, for example, the DaVinci Resolve sound library is unusable and a waste of time.

I know a lot of the audio people are quite unhappy with the Fairlight page
I know some of the ex Fairlight team, they are doing a lot of work on that page to bring it up to spec. probably a lot more coming in the next big release V17 whatever?
I have added quite a lot of my own sfx which is great as the Fairlight library is a bit limited.
Another question do you ever have to do much work blurring faces?
I had a go at this the other day and if someone crosses the shot the tracker stops, ie good if you have an undisturbed sequence works really quite well and you get a good track.
Know you can move from "clip" to "frame" and kind of do it manually but seems quite unwieldy.
Just wondered from your experience how you deal with the tricky shots for face tracking, more people in shots etc?
