The people who came here to talk about their Apple Store retail jobs crack me up.

Nobody’s talking to you.

Apple is a good example of a company where 10% of the people do 90% of the actual work... All I'm gunna say.

I think Apple retail and corporate should be treated separately.

After being harassed constantly for 2 months, I decided to quit. What is strange about my experience is that my stats where above expectations, but that did not seem to matter to them. Extremely racist and biased workplace, if you are Caucasian, this is not the place for you. Apple is an extremely controlling company. There are many Apple employees who's job it is to control what is posted on the Internet. Many of the interviews you read are posted by employees who's job it is to control what is on the net. My schedule was changing every 2 or 3 days. Passive aggressive behaviour is the norm at Apple. Your experience is greatly affected by what you do at Apple, but the WFH Apple Advisor role is terrible, didn't see any geniuses, mostly untrained people with no basic computer skills, no experience, employees seem to be hired and supported for their ethnic background, pro African. Horrible place to work, unfair, harassment, and so on. Lot's and lot's of harassment. When I tried to complain about the harassment, they bricked my work computer as they were talking to me remotely, lol.

I worked as a WFH Apple Advisor. Absolute worst workplace I have ever worked. Racism is rampant, biased toward people of colour. Passive aggressive behaviour, constant threats of being fired, but they will use kind words to explain that you could get fired, even for doing exactly as instructed. The people who get promoted got hired for all the wrong reasons (racism), they don't have the skills, experience, or abilities; and have no clue what they are doing. They can't agree on anything, and as a result people get fired when they get caught in the crossfire of supervisors arguing about what you can and cannot do. Extremely stressful workplace where discrimination and exclusion is the norm. Avoid at all cost, for your own sanity.

I am an Apple employee. I will say this about their hiring process (corporate at least). It really is difficult and it isn't always about your skills. They hire based on character too.

Let's face it, no matter the job you work, you can be the smartest, most punctual perfectionist who always gets everything done flawlessly... But if you're an outright egotistical asshole, no one wants to work with you and it drags teams down! I'm not saying Apple only hires perfect people, but at least where I work we've drilled down on a solid team of (mostly) good people.

When I get up in the morning I genuinely enjoy going to work, which is increasingly rarer every day in this terrible late-stage capitalism. Apple isn't perfect, but it is by far the best company I've ever worked for since I started working in 2003.

Hi Preston, these videos simply reading off GlassDoor reviews of major companies are not that interesting. I would be interested to hear about the British Invasion into the USA staffing market over the last 5 years. These UK companies are bringing over their employees on visa to conduct staffing activities in the USA. These companies include Michael Page, Lawrence Harvey and several others,.
