Yeah this is a LIE…Took 1 teaspoon castor oil when I was pregnant with my son years ago the next morning he was here! ❤…FYI they say that to scare you away from inducing your own labor but honestly doctors medically induce labor all the time for various reasons and you don’t even know what they’re putting in you.

I took it in the late afternoon (2 tablespoons in Gatorade) and was in labor by 10p. Diarrhea? Yes, but they actually say having clear bowels and bladder make room for the baby to pass through the pelvis so I wasn't mad about it. After 9 months of diarrhea and constipation and heart burn and insomnia and hemorrhoids, and canker sores... literally a million other symptoms of pregnancy a couple hours of pooping isn't going to scare me. LOL!!! However, you don't have to take my word for it-- there are actual clinical studies that prove it works.

It’s actually did help me induce labor. I took it at 9pm and by 4:32am the next morning I was in Labor.

I was 40+ weeks with my daughter, tried 4 tablespoons…did absolutely nothing except make me cramp a bit and poop…when I went to the hospital for an induction I WAS 3 CENTIMETERS. I opted to still take medication so it ended up being an augmentation instead or induction. I guess it sort of worked? 😂

The National Library of Medicene says otherwise... as does my board certified OBGYN. Both agree the risks are nonexistent and suggest it is effective in 91% of women. Unless you have a GI issue, it is safe, and an excellent place to start before pitocin or invasive measures like a cesarean. I'd love to know your thoughts on the, "Effect of Castor Oil on Cervical Ripening and Labor Induction: A systematic review and meta-analysis." It's in the NLM. 😊

Lies.. I’ve had six children and it has worked for me all six times.. the diarrhea was horrible but after about three hours of nonstop pooping I was five centimeters dilated

Def helped me. Baby number 5 was 10 days over but he wasn't in a good position so even though I'd had 2 days of labor starting (6 and 10 days prior) it kept fizzling out. He also had the cord around his shoulders holding him up so he wasn't putting pressure on cervix etc. But man after that castor oil milkshake from the midwives, it def got things going, and quickly!

I’m sorry but I’m here to say. I used castor oil at 37 weeks and two hours later I was in hospital another 2 hours I pushed my baby girl out. Castor oil doesss work. Do it at your own risk

The NIH literally says otherwise. I think I’ll trust the research studies instead. Also ladies in the Philippines use it often to induce labor before hurricane season comes since the mom and baby can die from the hurricane.

Please if your are not trained in natural medicine then don’t speak on it. Rather let a naturopath or an herbalist specialising in labor speak on it. I am trained as a Clinical Herbalist, I can tell you that though castor oil might have unpleasant side effects it still works dam good. Can vouch on it based on my clinical experience. They are plenty of studies to show its immediate effectiveness.

That’s not true I took it with my last 2 pregnancy and it worked within minutes. I drank the whole bottle both times and I went into labor really fast. My water broke so fast it scared the heck out of me
