GISHWHES 2014 Video 111

First, let me say that I absolutely SUCK at editing videos. Forgive the horrible picture, the massively shaky video, and the non-anything that I may have not done correctly. Hopefully no one gets too seasick!! Second, this is at the Sunrise Nursing Home in Frederick, MD. I absolutely LOVE this place. The staff there are kind and seem to genuinely care about the residents there. I have decided that once my daughter comes back from visiting my parents, I will make sure we continue to volunteer here. Also, you will notice that there is really no video of my interacting with the residents. That's because I was asked not to film the residents. I originally went in to help with Scrapbooking, but none of the residents wanted to do that. So, I ended up sitting with another volunteer and a resident, Leona, and discussing hats, and what we enjoyed doing and how hot it was on Tuesday. I also went back on Friday and played some cards with the residents. I also talked to Mr. Boshin on Tuesday. He is a WWII vet, and you can tell he is truly in love with his wife that is currently a resident there. It was a wonderful time, and I feel truly blessed that I got to go!
