Thank you very well done .
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you
ОтветитьA very good video. I’ve watched many others but yours is the first one to mention the attractiveness of the tree. That’s an important thing.
ОтветитьThanks for this and the last pear tree video I watched. I’ll always come back for more.
ОтветитьNice. But ... I find the 'music background' to be distracting. That all. Appreciate everything else. ;)
ОтветитьOur heirloom apple trees were ever sprayed. Delicious apples, but difficult to harvest a 30 foot tree! Thanks for video.
ОтветитьYou just need to show us wich branches to cut and not cut tho
ОтветитьI see this a great learning opportunity and excellent for hands on pruning experience.
ОтветитьHow are you not wearing gloves?
ОтветитьWonderful video. Thank you for sharing this and also for the beautiful message at the end. Glad to see that you’re in beautiful Northern Lower Michigan! It’s one of my favorite places on earth and where I was raised. God bless.
ОтветитьThis is the video I needed. Thanks
ОтветитьThank you so much for your knowledge. I just trimmed my friends apple tree. I hope I did good. I know it's a bit early in the season. But maybe I did a good job ..so we need to rid of all the branches that grow upwards. 😊🍎🍏. Maybe I'll look up grafting her tree also so she has a nice variety for next year.
ОтветитьI pruned a apple tree last year. It's very vigorous. Like this tree it had grown quite tall. Not as big as this one though. I cut back quiet hard & closer to the base of the tree which has a "open" centre as apposed to a central leader. The branches were quite thick. I'm astonished as to the proliferation of new growth! With the tree now "shorter" it will be easier to maintain & harvest. 😋
ОтветитьA follow up on how the tree looked the next year would have been interesting to see . Thank you .
ОтветитьI love your video (esp the mention veterans at the end who keep us safe). I have a problem apple tree. It is about 25 feet tall and has grown straight up with a single narrow trunk. I would to get it down to a proper harvesting height of 12 feet. CAn I just cap it off?
ОтветитьThat was a great video, thankyou.
ОтветитьDo you need to wait till all leaves are down before trimming? I have an apple tree that needs to be trimmed badly. And it is almost winter, but it has all its leaves.
ОтветитьI have 20 trees just like this I am pruning. Buying chainsaw and safety equipment this week. don’t worry i know how to work a saw 😆
ОтветитьGary, people who seek knowledge never ask if what you demonstrate is beneficial. When I saw you using a chainsaw unsafely, I knew you knew a little, but not much. IF you want to improve, I suggest you buy the book Arboriculture by Prof. Richard Harris. First, find the chapter on wounds and then you might see how much irreparable damage you did to that apple tree. Follow the science and improve.
ОтветитьIs there a follow up to this video? I'd love to see how that tree is doing now
ОтветитьGary seems like a great guy. He is great at explaining things just as I understand them. Lots of info in a short time.
ОтветитьMy brothers apple tree looks just like this and last summer I just started watering it and giving it attention and it grew tons of beautiful apples!!!
ОтветитьI have two old apple trees in that kind of neglected shape.. Thanks for the informative video.
I've got a lot of work ahead it seems.. (subscribed)
Operation Desert Storm vet here.. scouts out..
I will watch this video over and over until I get this DIY project done
ОтветитьNicely done, professional video. Thanks!
ОтветитьWhat about pruning budgets? With neglected trees it can take up to three years.
ОтветитьThis is what i was looking for. i have three overgrown apple trees on my property, not too old, maybe 7-10 years old. I want some nice apples and right now they are not producing much and they are ugly as hell.
ОтветитьLoved the outro patriot!!
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьWould have been l9vely if you could show us how you thinned the clustering. Old trees have a ton of clustering on the tips. Should we prune that to stop the tree limbs from becoming too long and reaching so far out?
ОтветитьThanks Gary 🙂
ОтветитьThanks 🙏👍👍
ОтветитьBeautiful ending message. God Bless!
ОтветитьJust the advice I was looking for … up here in Canada.
ОтветитьThis video gave me the courage to tackle to monster apple trees today. I wish I could share my pictures. Thanks
ОтветитьHow much of the tree can I trim like this in a year? I have one that is very neglected
Ответитьimagine being that mind controlled that you think you need to spray chemicals on apples that grew inn your pack yard for them to be edible
ОтветитьNot bad at all for courageous big cuts ...It gives light to the tree.and a basic form to prune it back to form each year.
The last thinning of 1/3 of the branches should have shown smaller dangling branches cut from the undersides of cluttered branches... So that what remains is "Streamlined" and able to hold fruit where light and air can reach it.
❤thanks for the info. Great help!
ОтветитьGary I enjoy your videos. Your words on freedoms and the republic hit home in this day and age. Thank you.!
ОтветитьThank you for a great video Gary. I'm self taught from books on how to develop structure from planting & have had to bring a few overgrown orchards into line, often wondering if I had it right.
There wasn't a single cut that you did that I hadn't already chosen! Very encouraging 😊
And I fully support your stance!
About the last bit. You killed the indians, stole the land so now you can grow all trees. Yes, we know the story...
ОтветитьNice job! You are very easy to listen to, really enjoyed that!
ОтветитьThank you for the good video and the inspiring message at the end. 🙂
ОтветитьReally! We want to learn about pruning and we are subjected to your "patriotic" ideology!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing, sir.
Ответитьmusic is distracting out of place innapropriate
ОтветитьThank you for the video, good information.
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, 🙏
Long live the REPUBLIC 🇺🇸
