idk what sam or these people are thinking but trans people are genuinely treated by society as the lowest class in almost every single situation i've read or seen or talked to people about. They are not welcomed, thats a bullsh*t myth created by movies and g*y f*ggot tv shows that arent real, they are not treated equally in most any capacity, they get treated poorly most anywhere. I mean poorly as in people going out of their way to verbalize some anti -trans stuff. Apparently people feel the need to voice their opinions any time a trans person is around, and they act surprised when the trans person is upset that you are questioning their entire existence and socially alienating them, trans people are less than 1% of the population and yet get so much hate its kinda unbelievable to me. most anti trans rhetoric is based around "what if's" and over extrapolation and assumption. Overall, I feel bad for trans people, they are treated like sh*t everywhere. The fact you think trans women get treated better is part of the problem, they do not. People want to remove their ability to get married. They are treated like complete social outcasts, especially if they arent pretty, and that includes workplace discrimination, friends treating you entirely different, and outright physical violence, etc. I know a trans woman who was in an abusive relationship and couldnt really get help because no one listened to her when she tried and it was bad. I think trans people have an obligation to try to pass, but they will never be able to fully if anti-trans people continue to push for no hrt prior to 18, the happiest and most successful trans woman I know all started her hormones young and got to experience a relatively normal life and development.
