Yes the mi box USB port was Version 2.0 Type A the adapter i got was version 3.0 Type C, so i managed to find another adapter that was version 2.0 type a and now its working fine :)

Still no update?! After so many weeks no solution! No update for the problems they created by pushing Android 12! No SPDIF! Movie files in external HDD drive are not recognized! The directories with movies inside are detected as empty in VLC and KODI!!!! After I power it off the device turns itself and the TV on after some time! Serious playback issues on almost all apps! Only YT seems to work fine. It's a shame that the new Mi Box still has 2 Gigs of RAM which is definitely barely enough for newer Android versions. Having so many Xiaomi products at home, I don't think they even care and will fix this mess, I have lost all my trust in Xiaomi!

Xiaomi to już od kilku lat straszny syf. Dwa lata temu zrezygnowalem z ich telefonów bo co chwilę były błędy - mibox s został bo "działał", wgrałem update bo nie spodziewałem się że można zepsuć android tv który idzie od googlea. Można - w moim przypadku losowe rebooty, losowo mibox gdy jest wyłączony się włącza a razem z nim tv, mirror poprzez chromecast rozjezdza dzwiek z obrazem. MASAKRA

Think i found the problem why the ethernet didnt work. developers option and the ethernet usb port enable :) after hours trying to sort it out

how is it upgrading to android 12? I have android 9 on this version and there is no update, so there is a new version of mi box and there is an 11 version

i cant seem to get my mi box to connect via ethernet cable to my tv it tries to connect but it wont any idea why

Dzięki za filmik, ale mam problem bo nie ładuje mi danych z dysku zewnętrznego - filmy przez VLC oraz dosyć uciążliwe bo za każdym razem muszę wpisywać dane do logowanie w APPLE tv po ponownym uruchomieniu miboxa. Może ktoś zna rozwiązanie?

despues de actualizar mi xiaomi mibox es casi un ladrillo,no funciona casi nada,yo creo que es por falta de internet,por lo que sea afecta negativamente esta actualizacion,nunca tuve problemas con android 9,espero que lo solucionen en breve,porque el problema es gordo,un cacharro asi es inservible

Hi my box dnt go on the light just flicker when i move the adaptor but the red light dnt stay on does that got sumthing to do with the software or adaptor or the box

I was going to update to 12 but cancelled the download now it doesnt appear anymore when i check software update. What can i do? Is it better to stay with 9 and Xiaomi fixes all the issues then check for update?
