I think on a truck this nice and original, I'd try rebuild kits for your wheel cylinders instead of replacing with complete new parts from over-seas.
ОтветитьDoes the heater work in that FIX OR REPAIR DAILY FORD.
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьVery nice old truck Matt!!
ОтветитьAlways loved your content for your practical down to earth nature. Really disappointed by you sprouting nonsense ‘special powder’ supplements.
ОтветитьHad a 1973 Pontiac Lemans with the 350 v8. Even with the 8, you could stand in the engine bay and work on the car. Couldn't kill that car went through the original transmission and two rebuilt trannies. Ran it 40 miles with only a couple quarts of oil in the block. Put fresh oil in it, and it never ticked or knocked. There is nothing like the old cars for ease of maintenance.
ОтветитьI like how you say pertineer immaculate⛽️🇺🇸
ОтветитьI’m in Butler and you and the truck or somewhere around Washington PA but sitting here watching this I know it’s been 30 years but that truck really looks familiar i’m not a Ford guy by no means but that is a good fine Matt that trucks from the era when the big three made real trucks
ОтветитьI’ve been saving this video, worth the wait! Drove that truck in my youth. Great memories, thanks Matt. I could watch this all day.😊
ОтветитьI enjoyed this video. I'm not a Ford fan but do enjoy seeing revival of old trucks and cars. Keep them coming Matt.
ОтветитьDude I’m so jealous. That’s quite the find.
ОтветитьI think the reason it started and ran so good on 30 year old gas is because it had lead in it back then
ОтветитьI have been watching your channel for a long time
But i am wondering where
Your dog Meatbal is?
Did he pas away?
Or is he still around?
I would like to know
Greetings from Sam in Holland Holland
Clean it and buff it
ОтветитьVery cool. Give it a birthday and enjoy it 👍🍻🇦🇺
Ответить"Cosby Sauce"..... LOL!!!!
ОтветитьI love Ford 6
Ответитьthats me all day i can run that engine on 8 wires and everything would run on that truck not a 80 or 90 lb wire harness and you just bought the best menially anti theft device out their
Ответитьlooks like you need a new brake booster too
Ответитьok i want the 71 only because i was born in 1971 how's the frame look
ОтветитьTalking about antiquating yourself. I took my drivers test on a stegosaurus and my first car was a Roman chariot
ОтветитьOnce you had it out of the garage you should have backed it in so you would have daylight to help see what you were doing
ОтветитьA little whiff of canned consent and off she goes
ОтветитьOMG That is BEAUTIFULL!!!
ОтветитьThe only way to kill a 300 6 cylinder is to run it at 65 mph with the original transmission and rearend the truck has
ОтветитьHad a 1975 Ford F250 2WD with split rims holding 60 PSI for heavy loads. Hauled a heavy uHaul trailer and full load in truck bed with a cap on it for 2500 miles and averaged 8 MPG. You could actually see the gas gauge needle going down! Never a whimper out of it
whether through the Rockies or on the prairies with maximum speed of 55 MPH due to weight I was pulling.. Loving all your videos and variety of machines. 👍👍👍🤩
30 year old gas and 5 cylinders. Unreal.
ОтветитьHeck yeah loved it canit wait on the next video on this
ОтветитьLovely bit of American engineering, well worth repair n resto'' it's enthusiasm to run after so long shows its spirit, yeah diesel creek style like this is excellent entertainment & info, yep, usa at its best!❤❤
Ответитьim gonna be trying to get a 1975 chevy c20 dually wooden flatbed farm truck to fix up and make as my daily eventually hasnt been driven in a few years maybe 10-20yrs gonna do custom bumpers and steel flatbed with lower toolboxes , might extend the chasis behind the axle idk yet
ОтветитьAwesome find. I will say, if you intend on working that truck any amount, I would highly recommend a few things. First, build a fan shroud for the rad. Empty or lightly loaded they seemed to be fine but under moderate to heavy loading they had a tendency to run hot. That may have killed that first engine. Second, put a pickup screen on the fuel line in the tank, I learned the hard way. And third, get yourself some taller rims (17's) and harder tires, this will help take a lot of the "wander" out of her when you got her loaded up. Anywho, again, awesome find, thanks for the awesome content.
ОтветитьWhy not use fresh gas rather than the old varnished crappy stuff?
ОтветитьGot one sitting in the driveway.
ОтветитьMade in USA
ОтветитьOutstanding gentleman!!!
Ответитьi got a 89 4.9 ford that ran on 3 cyl minus 3 in the head
ОтветитьThe way I've done the bleeding with two person is that the other one pumps until he feels pressure and says "pressure", then the other one opens the bleeder, closes it and says "closed". If there is no pressure build up at first, I think the one who's pumping calls the shots.
ОтветитьSo I guess I was born in Tuesday.
ОтветитьHow do you keep tools from rusting on a service truck box that goes through climate changes and condensation / moisture?
ОтветитьDo more of these!
ОтветитьNice old cheap truck..
ОтветитьI love ur videos so much and I’m a kid! 10 out of 10 I hope u see this man:) ❤
ОтветитьMy eye is spying on the hub caps on top of the toolbox/service bed. Don't misplace them, I'm guessing their off the stock 3/4 ton rims that were on the back of the truck. Getting to be some hard to find items.
ОтветитьSo this being diesel creek it’s getting a 4dr Cummins and a 5 speed transmission right?
ОтветитьHi Matt: Love all your content. This is definitely a Keeper. It deserves to be upgraded when you are ready . Peace Brother.
ОтветитьAwesome job on waking this ole girl up, Bro!!!
