The way you swing that hammer clearly shows that you have never installed anything, let alone a TV antenna. That was brutal
ОтветитьYou know for such an expert, all of your videos are incredibly vague and essentially useless.
ОтветитьHave tried several outdoor antennas on apple extending above the roof. Have yet to find anything decent, so far all junk, regardless of price. 50+ miles from broadcast antennas. North of Denver, CO open to suggestions appreciated.
ОтветитьMy dad got the first antenna you mentioned. He gets 70+ channels.
ОтветитьI bought a 30 dollar Antana on ammazon live 80 miles from stations get ABC nbc fox CBS clear for years this guy is full off bs
ОтветитьI hate that so many antenna companies still use rg59! Crap coax wire!
ОтветитьI had the flat one and then bought the other in your thumbnail and the only channel I don't get is Fox which I will never miss!
ОтветитьI bought the square pad 3 years ago for a temporary fix.. Still using it,
ОтветитьIn the beginning of your video I was more amazed how you could put your bare knees on that gravel concrete. Then I was with the product breaking. Good job.
Ответить..as a long time subscriber..thanks for sharing again.. Tyler....but who wouldn't want that 800 mile super duper outer space antenna..
ОтветитьWell I wish I would of seen this video sooner maybe by the time I go thru tons of antenna's I will be able to get get 50 channel's ?
ОтветитьOddest antenna for me was in Kymis Mushat in Saudi Arabia. Reception was terrible. Till one night I stayed up till sign off. It was broadcast on Vertical Polarity. But all my neighbors misled me as their antennas were horizontal. That would have given about 170 Db attenuation
On the other hand I have been using a rotating reflector antenna with amplifier for the past 6 years. No problems at all and receive stations here in Costa Rica all the way to Panama. 52 stations in all.. A good $50 investment, Though took 3 attempts bringing them from Walmart in the US as TSA stole vital parts of the first 2. Also stole a toy electric train set. Some canned dog food. And broke 4 Flat screen TV's. TSA in the US are a bunch of thugs.
Safety glasses needed
ОтветитьI RV and Leadzm HDTV antenna works fine. At one campground I get 70 channels. I paid $28
ОтветитьI put my flat antenna on a pole and iv had great reception for years out of it and most of the areas I need are at least 30 miles away not to mention I live beside a mountain so yah.
ОтветитьI purchased a 2nd antenna from walmart for a 2nd home. It cost 39.99, made by G.E. it is a directional one that was made for outdoor/attitc use. In my 1st purchase, that one is 5 years old, still working with equal quality. You do have to put it together but, well worth the time and, effort as this antenna also held up to numerous high wind storm and thunderstorms: make sure you properly ground it for your safety. My 2nd one i have not put it outside yet, I have it hooked up to 1 TV in my house with a 5 foot coaxial cable, this works good and slightly better than rabbit ears, I can wait to put it outside. On my first 1, I used an old satellite dish for improved reception, amazing Im getting signals from 3 different markets: Knoxville, TN, Johnson City, TN, and surprisingly North Carolina, the dish work as a reflector for better gain, keep in mind you"ll have to mount it close to the front of the round dish, I took the small round receptor off and mounted it to that arm. I was getting great reception before mounting it to my old satellite dish, just had to point it more, now I dont have to move or point it, the elements are bounce of the waves from the dish.
ОтветитьI live in a royel area here in Washington state there is a tone of hills and trees in the area I would like to know what you would recomend im about 25 miles from town (Bremerton and Silverdale WA) please let me know thanks.
ОтветитьWhat do we use for an antenna if our signal is Northeast and South of us? We are in Newberg, Oregon 97132.
ОтветитьCould you please recommend an antenna that might work when mounted behind my mounted Samsung frame tv? Thank you!
ОтветитьA cheap rabbit ear antenna will do the job just fine.
ОтветитьI use my BIG COCK as an antenna. I get over a million channels
ОтветитьCLEAR TV ANTENNA NEEDS TO BE SUED BY EVERYONE WHO HAS BOUGHT ONE, THIS GUY NEEDS HIS ASS BEAT, HE STILL MAKING COMMERCIALS, BASTARD
Ответитьi got the first one u show, i get 20 free clear channels and it held up fine on my roof up in upstate ny,snow, windy wheather!!
ОтветитьHeres something else to smash. A Terk EDGE FM antenna. I bought one, it does nothing. Opened it up to see whats inside, what a joke. Same category as the "magic stick" TV antenna. A coat hangar works better.
Ответитьhow can i find out what state are you in to see if you can stop by my house to see what Antenna i could get in my area???
ОтветитьI have had the first one for 5 years now. Works great. Good picture
ОтветитьI have several flat antennas that work very well.
ОтветитьI bought two TV antennas from Walmart that promised I would get CHANNELS as far away as 1,500 miles. Well, with those two TV antennas I couldn't get channels further than 50 miles.
ОтветитьPlease wear safety glasses when smashing antennas!
ОтветитьQuestion, I purchased the Televes Elipse and during assembly, I noticed most of the metal parts don't make electrical contact with each other or the receiver. How does this help with signal quality?
ОтветитьLove Travis. Best antenna advice. 👌
ОтветитьI have two of the rotating antennas and one you say is the best sorry but the cheep antenna’s work better the the hundred plus dollar antenna you recommend 😮
ОтветитьWhat about the flat ones made by RCA with an included amplifier..?
ОтветитьActually - the first antenna that you hated is the only one I have had successfully pull in stations over 40 miles away. None of the others, no matter their claims work. And for the first antenna, it successfully pulled in stations 40 miles away from four feet above the floor and through a wall with a tree obstructing line of site.
Even more, I helped a friend install a different year model of the same antenna in another State, where she successfully used it to pull in TV signals from 60 miles away - clearly.
I live approximately 30 miles from midtown Manhattan, my neighbor cancelled his fios tv and purchased an antenna from the jungle website complete with rotor, he has had it for three years now, I was astounded at the picture quality and the number of channels he receives. One night he came over and showed me a burnt end of a coax cable with the connector attached, the center electrode was gone, I asked him what he thinks happened, he brought the entire antenna assembly over for me to look at, I couldn't see anything wrong, the next day he came over and said he thinks he found the problem, the cable came through the house and into his daughters bedroom through a closet in her room and into the living room to the tv, he pulled out the cable and it was full of water, two cables were connected together in the closet, the cable acted as a sort of gutter from the roof to that connection and here's the kicker, it somehow managed to blow out the tv so he needed a new tv, I gave him a length of r59 and he ran a new cable siliconeing the hell out of it where it connects to the antenna, so far so good, be careful make sure the connection is watertight outside, I wonder if this has happened to anyone else.
ОтветитьEven if you don't know what you're doing you can make an antenna with any cable cord and some aluminum foil no body told me this I figured it out as kid screwing around when bord as a 5 years old
ОтветитьI have bought a few antennas of the indoor variety. The blade antennas consistently outperforms or is just as strong as the other antennas. The blade antenna even without an amp obtained more channels than the other antennas with an amp. I pick up all channels I need in San Diego, CA, except for KFMB (Hi-VHF). KGTV also in Hi-VHF was at one time not accessible via these same antennas, but now I can get it, for the most part, sometimes after performing multiple scans. I am not sure if KGTV now has a secondary channel or amp for their signal recently or not. Unfortunately, KFMB just would never pick up OTA from any antenna I have. I currently have: the newest, SCERD model HD010 with amp (3); TS-ant HD011 (these two models are probably from the same company); and three blades, without knowing any model info, I have had for a few years now. Inevitably, the blades are in use on three of four TVs.
ОтветитьToday I brought the onn antenna onn it work good for now
ОтветитьI bought a cheap 5.00 antenna from Family dollar and pick up 49 channels. Wayyy more than I expected.
ОтветитьI wish more people in Philadelphia would watch your videos, instead of cheating and stealing tv. Everyone feels entitled and doesn't do research. I applaud your work on the videos. I have had windgard antenna, had it put on the roof late last yr and maybe have a hard time getting fox 29 here and there.
ОтветитьWhat’s the best budget indoor antenna?
ОтветитьWow, an amazing video on Antennas for us "Cord Cutting" people!
Well done!
I live in Brooklyn NYC. I bought one of the flat material antennas and stuck it to the wall by a window. It has a signal booster, which I plugged into a usb port on the tv.
I get about 90 channels that come in clearly and don’t drop out.
I guess it works for me being in a big city b
This is funny. Your bad first one, has been working well for me for years. I had to return some of the bigger ones you recommended. Mine is mounted in my attic, so weather isn't a problem. I keep a small TV up there, to use to rescan.
ОтветитьI got the very first antenna I have not had that many problems with it I would say it is ok of course its not cable but it don't go off like the dish does when storming just saying
Ответить
