I have just gotten a golden... just this past sunday. I want to do exercise with her but she does not recall except in the house ond not all the time even then. She is just 1 year old and the family decided to get rid of her because one of the daughers was asmatic... I'm 70 but I'm quite active. Not as much as she is for sure!!! I have had a golden before and I know how amazing they are. Suggestions please?

When you raw feed you can’t feed from your hand all through the day,but the odd treat helps get my way over their way

I learnt how to get my dogs to understand "leave it' and "wait' following your advice about feeding. They will now look at me and wait for as long as I want them to using a break command. Thank you so much

I just got a mastiff-boxer cross from the shelter. He's five years old and was close to being euthanised.
He's a lovely animal and we're working hard together.

Making a dog sit and wait to go out the door for a walk, for a dog who can’t wait to go for a walk, is simply building anticipation and they are more hyper leaving the house….. bad advice

Soooo excited that we have been doing most of these things since he came home at 8-weeks. Also, we enrolled Apollo obedience training immediately and practice daily. Bulldogs do not have a reputation for being highly intelligent but my baby picks up quickly. I’m tired of buying him puzzles he solves in an hour 😂 Mental work does exhaust them too y’all. He was so bright I just could not sleep easy knowing we didn’t mentally challenging him!

Yoo i want to train hand signals! I could make her sit with hand signals but didnt think it could go beyond that

I sure hope you’re keeping him for life. Because deaf, with his history, he needs an owner doing all of this as you do it, ALWAYS. It’s more the deafness than the history..,,or, do you disagree, if so please explain to me the why.

very interesting, im not sure if someone is still reading this but i would have a question: to me it seems like the methods in this training discribed are most likely based on food. is that okay? i thought if dogs just do something to get food, this is not enough? however thanks :)
