Mr PeePee is a smart man.

This guy and Daniel Day-Lewis, I will blame for not making more films. It is like the Sun saying "ok I will shine one less hour everyday" for whatever reason.

umm, hollywood has churned out garbage consistently for decades and passes on almost anything non-formulaic so the problem might not be that everything should be in the private sector. ALso, there is a private sector movie industry in Australia that probably passed on him because they also produce garbage based on personal connections etc...Not that Aussi and Canadian, or French etc state funders dont consistently fund unwatchable content, they do most of the time. Anyways, Mr Inbetween was great, glad he finally got his break.

That smile to the audience at the end of the last episode was perfect👍

Man! I can definitely relate to and/or understand the stupidity of being held back by ...stupidity! Clearly this was shot at a time when he hadn't seen much funding and he was just frustrated with the standard Victorian problem of excessive bureau..crazy and club mentality BS! How lucky for us and even the industry that he did have this compulsion to make "films" that led to making a tv series, that is IMHO almost too good.. maybe I would have preferred more time fillers etc. if it means that Mr. Inbetween went for a couple of extra seasons...? Na, I love it for the respect that it has for its viewers, just as much as I love it for all the genius of Scott Ryan in multiple roles, the casting and obviously the work Nash Edgerton provided in directing... and, in taking it from the original $3,000 indie. film to get the club to give it funding, and helping it to become such an awesome series! I've already spent hours watching any interviews with Scott, and the reviews etc. by the small cult-like following trying to get the word out there about it. I'm sure the irony of the mid level, underwhelming success of this amazing show that deserves so much greater acclaim isn't lost on the.. 'past' Ryan of this clip lol. Can't wait to see what he chooses to make next.

You can see a little doubt in his demeanour here. Maybe he thought hed never get any recognition for his talents. Its truly amazing that he's being noticed now. I really hope I see more of him. Hollywood needs to snap him up. It's where he belongs.

Spot on….nepotism in the entertainment industry, nepotism in government. I wish I was happy bartending for 20 years…but unfortunately I too have a compulsion to make film…it is damn disease!

I love how he says "alright, okay, you know?" It shows me how patient he is, in waiting for you to catch up. And swearing actually shows intelligence.

He’s bang on when he talks about how some people are just allowed to keep making bad movies. So many cringy bad Australian movies. I’m glad you ended up with TV because it provides more re storylines and characters. Mr Inbetween is an iconic series.

just found Mr Inbetween last week and i love this bloke, so happy he's finally got some closure & respect after walking away from acting & writing.
