Got these two kits and one of them is M-die, other is A-die. Now, I cant make them run more than 4800Mt/s without crash and BSOD no matter what I try.

@ActuallyHardcoreOverclocking, I loved your video, very informative.
I followed it to the T and got no errors when testing but after about a month or so some games randomly crashed while gaming, while others didn't.
Going back to the XMP profile 1 at 6000Mhz seems to have fixed the crashing issue so it was probably memory related.
I didn't clock it at 7200 like you, but 6800Mhz, maybe im unlucky or did something wrong.

What kind of settings would you recommend for the same type of kingston memory, just cl40 instead of cl36?
intel 13600k, MSI pro z790-A wifi, KF560C40BBK2-32.

Thanks a lot

BZ You are the man! You have no idea how tremendously this video helped me! My MSI Z790 Tomahawks can only do 6800 y-cruncher VST, but I was wasting my time bottoming the timings, running low subtimings on 6800c32 that required the DIMMs to be under 48c to pass, eh screw that.

Eh well screw that! I'm now running CL34 with exactly the same subtimings as used in this video, besides tRFC/tREFI that I loosened up a bit, and now I can pass 24hours+ of HCI without a fan over the RAM! It reaches 62-63c stress testing but still passes, bloody awesome. I'll check later if I can also pass with tRFC 333 and tREFI 50000 as well since I have an M-Die kit.

The PLL voltages are a life saver, they work! I have MSI Z790 Tomahawk paired with 5600c46 (A-Die) and I simply couldn't get y-cruncher VST stable last 6800MT/s, it would within the minute or two. I used the same CPU, RING, SA & MC PLL voltages and I'm now stable half an hour and still going on 7000MT/s running y-cruncher VST.
How do people manage the find PLL voltages, is it simply trial and error each time?
I will try 7200 next up and update.

This honestly seemed was too easy. M-die is supposed to be hard to get to 6800+ 😅

Graet video, really explains alot! Would like any help i can get with 2x32gb g.skill hynix m-die 6400 32-39-39-102 kit on a msi tomahawk with 13900ks. What values i need to change from your setup to make it run at 7200?

what about
Kingston Fury 64GB (4X32) DDR5 6000 CL 36 memory in a (Z790-E Asus)
so far work stable with 1.3v and 4800mhz
but, Whats the point to buy a motherboard that in theory "support 128GB" but 6000Mhz is too much for T_T

thanks to this tutorial videos i manage to work brand new computer with gigabyte Z790 gaming X and 13600KF. cpu no problem but memory kit Kingston renegade 6400 cl32 xmp was nightmare. latest bios. but stock settings and xmp enabled ended in bootloop. then i set vccsa 1.35V , later lowered to 1.3V and mirracles happens..all work. later i set 1T . works for weeks now. no other Voltage adjusted . even 13600K goes to 5.2 and 4.1 with bios max.perf setting. i tried manual 5,4 and 4.2, no voltage adjusted, works perfect. big thanks to this tutorials and clear explain.
p.s. my mem score in some memtest is 97gigs, cant go over 100... not verry happy but it is as it is , and latency is 70ns... i think little bit higher than usual...

hey BZ I changed my mobo from z790 Aorus master to an MSI Ace z790, I used to run tighter timings with the gigabyte board that arent working on the ACE, you think is mobo quality or voltage differences? thanks!

A friend of mine has both the Z690 and Z790 and was wasting his time trying to reduce to tCL to 32, bring foolishly fixated on his primary timings, meanwhile completely neglecting his subtimings on Auto. I told him he's fiddling with poop! Tuned his subtimings similar to yours and he was shocked his Geekbench score went up by 2k points. I think a lot of people are stuck with the DDR4 mind set where going from CL15 to CL14 has some impact, and gong from CL14 to CL13 is some exotic rare overclock. More people need to watch Buildzoid's video on tCL speed doesn't matter on DDR5.

I would love to have your Insight on the new corsair vengeance 4x16gb 6600mhz 32-39-39-76. I just got them in the day before yesterday and it says they were made in week 14 of 2023, literally last week but xmp doesn't work I got it to run at 6600 MHz by loosening Cas latency to 34 and adding .01 voltage and I was able to pass memtest 86 but with them being an actual 4 dimm kit I expected xmp not to give me any problems I have a 13900k on a MSI z690 carbon also for some reason my motherboard defaults two quad rank even if I only have two sticks in idk why or how to change my motherboard isn't even supposed to be capable

If i can suggest to you a simple command, with cmd or a shortcut or a bat

shutdown /r /fw /f /t 0

This will reboot itself in UEFI Bios if is supported without smashing any key xD

Greetings from Italy ❤

I wish there were more guides for both DDR5 and DDR 4 on AMD for getting decent clock speeds with 4 double sided dual rank sticks. For example on my 5800x build, I can't get speeds above ddr4 3600 to boot. I ended up tightening timings at 3600 after even 3666 wouldn't boot.

On Windows 10 TM5 gets put into e cores and it actually skips tests for some reason and casues it to report errors in the "idle" period between cycles and makes it completely unreliable.

Stable is such a relative term on an OC like this. Sure it might be stable your on MOBO/system, might not be on another. Might look stable to you but crash out everytime at very specific work load that you haven't tested.

Sounds cool though! Wish AMD could get their memory controller act together.

Too bad we can't do that on AM5. Infinity fabric? More like "Finite" fabric. 😂
Also I wonder, if AMD claims their next gen CPUs will be compatible with AM5 mobo, what's the point of that if AM5 already taps out at 6000MHz max?!
