Good movie but it should of shown the sentencing-verdict tho...

It saddened me that the mother would stoop so low as she turned against one son to protect the guilty one. And when her brother-in-law bribes someone to destroy the trust of a friend, he deserves to be locked away & throw away the key. Most wives would want nothing to do with her husband knowing what he had done. These days, most everyone is all about themselves & will do whatever it takes to come out the winner.

And the cop, his dad got to sit with his son when i was on the stand. They never made him leave the courtroom like they did me, my family n my witness. Talk about a set up job.The cops knew he did that to me.

This movie reminds me of the movie , accused. As a rape victim, i never reported it. Why?? I had been through a case, in our parish, against a cop i dated, who beat me n broke my leg in 3 places. I had been to the police several times about him stalking me. They did nothing. The only reason they finally did, was because i went to the newspapers, named names in the article of cops, who blew my allegations off. It went to court. It was on the docket at the beginning, it wound up being the last case. I wasnt allowed in the courtroom when another girl testified against him. He took an alford plea. The police dept paid my surgery bill, anonomously. I found out because i worked at that hospital as a nurse,n had a friend in billing. This was before Nicole Simpson case. He got away with it all. He either was terminated. ,or quit. They made me look like i asked for it. So when n i got beaten n raped, i didnt report it, because of what this cop did to me n got away with it. The next girl the guy that raped me n beat me, he slit her throat in front of her 11 yr old daughter. He got life in prison. He recently died in prison. I feel guilty about that girl. But i saw how i was treated when i told the truth. And my daughter recently passed from cancer. Before she died she told that cop molested her from age 4-6. I was devastated about this. He went in with his life, he lives in Ohio, selling insurance Allstate, with his own company in Medina, Ohio. He married, his wife has another job with Allstate in another town. He now has a daughter n 2 sons. I wanted to go after him for what my daughter went through but she kept quiet about it for 34 years. She said no. I still think he should be held accountable. But ppl in that town n his clients gave him rave reviews. I did send a message to his wife to watch over his daughter n her friends. I thought of telling the police dept there, my daughter said no. Now i will never get over what he did to my lil girl. I did call allstate, public relations to let them know, and ask if he goes to womens houses with kids. I know my witness said he sodomized her. He was seeing her behind my back. , she said he raped her, she was my witness that they made me leave as she testified what he did to me.She was a nurse also. She told me, he admitted to her, he broke my leg in 3 places.

This movie has been produced in 1985. Fortunately I dare to believe that things have evolved. This type of situation would not go unpunished today. As evidence, Harvey Weinstein was convicted.

Bruh I get that defense lawyers have to do their job. But the defense lawyer in this movie was ATROCIOUS. Almost cartoon level atrocious. This dude woulda been disbarred to hell. How the hell did the judge not kick him out?!

I’m glad her husband did the right thing in the end. They were both put in a very difficult situation by the brother. He didn’t just traumatize the poor girl they raped but he also traumatized his brother and sister in law. I’m glad they both ended up telling the truth.

Now that was a great movie ❤ It is always a treat when Valerie Bertonelli is in a movie, she is a fantastic actress. I knew Kevin would eventually do the right thing. 💥 ty for the movie 👏👏💯

That vile prosecutor likely gave himself a heart attack shortly after this film. They made the poor, obviously unhealthy man shout and scream take after take. And his behavior would never fly in a modern day courtroom. Ever.

I have seen this movie before. It is worth watching and to talk with eachother about it. The acting is very good, the movie very touching.

This makes me so mad. He is choosing a family that is in the wrong for a brave wife doing the right thing.

Here is some truth. Alcoholics can be raped. Addicts can be raped. Prostitutes can be raped. Women can be raped. Men can be raped. Anyone that says NO.

My view of my husband would be ruined forever if he had stood by and watched a viscous rape and made me stand by too. I couldn’t ever look at him again. Let alone bully me into keeping quiet.
