I know this video is over 3yrs old with lits of comments so Im not sure if someone has already said it or now but if you were to every re-create this you should use a deeper dish that way the bismuth has more room to form the crystals.

An angle grinder for like 30 bucks with a cutting disk and a grinding disk for the sharpening would have made this a lot easier :) and probably heating up the knife a little before trying to attach the cristals.

There is this thing i think its molten steel but if you throw it on the ground it kabooms could you mebe do it plz and outside for safety reasons and if there are plants you should water the a lot thx

It was called a whetstone, you soke it in water then use it to sharpen knives about 25° or a piece of paper folded once or twice I can't remember

The top edge of the blade was flat, if you had aligned the top edge of the blade with the top edge of the plate you could have cut with half the effort.

I have those same sharpening stones. The black one is meant to be used to flatten the sharpening stones. And they are all wet stones. They should be submerged in water for 5 minutes before using, and then kept wet while using them
