Im a proud 25 yo Greek, ancient history is what makes me proud , Alexander the Great (the most). He was fearless, but I think Socrates and Aristotelis were of HUGE IMPORTANCE, keeping his soul and mind strong , imagine the stress , imagine having thousands of men risking their lives for you , nerves of STEEL , confidence, leadership... men like him are once every 5-10 centuries.

Ok he’s impressive on the military front, but sounds like a terrible political leader. He focused too much on expansion and less on developing the societies he controls. He ended up killing so many close associated, and his empire collapsed after his death because there was nothing bringing it together. A truly “great” impact back in the day was developing a civilization that endures the test of time.
