Beware if you are in EU don't use Google Fonts from the CDN but rather host it locally on your server as Google can track the IP address of your visitors and thus your website can be sued by money hungry lawyers who look for such stupid pitfalls.

I keep a local file stored instead of this. Makes it more EU friendly and less Google friendly. They usually take up more space than my site code (which rn is very simple while I’m learning), but its worth it in the face of data protection headaches and even just dead links.

Web devs, please don't embed more of Google's things into your page, especially if you can use web-safe fonts instead.

Please stop embedding random crap in web pages. This is the worst type of pattern.

Do NOT use Google fonts in the EU or you'll be open to lawsuits due to GDPR infringements.
