Why did Stevenson keep his hand game 2? Quint took a mulligan down to 5 cards and thought that going to 4 would have been a death sentence anyway. It was a bad spot either way! Sorry that I missed that context in the video.
ОтветитьThere need to be laws against this.
Ответить"Alotta combo decks look good against zero land" followed by the commentators laughter will forever be my favorite MTG moment of all time LMFAOO
ОтветитьIf “frustration levels rising” was a person
ОтветитьI hate turn two wins anyways
ОтветитьChalice of void won't kill it off completely, but slows it down not being able to use retract. Instant speed creature removal, (esp more now, like the evoke solitude) etc lol leyline of sanctity though will also wreck the deck.
ОтветитьConnor McGregor didn't have to do him in like that
ОтветитьI wish my way of thinking was more common lmao i refuse to use decks like this because my opponent having a fun time and WANTING to play me again is such a big deal to me as somebody who mostly just plays with friends. but at a local i guess its gloves off lmao
ОтветитьThese kind of decks always kind of irritated me. Especially when it's not even red, which tends to be their specialty.
ОтветитьLove em!
ОтветитьLol... hope it was round robin..
ОтветитьWhat's in the Cheerios deck list?
Ответить"Blue can't destroy creatures"
Umm what lol?
Even tho I don’t play or enjoy playing magic, the background music being from punch out, I had to stay 😂 but man, I’ve had local games that I’ve been destroyed in pokemon tcg by turn 2 and felt horrible YET ALONE 8 HOUR DRIVE
ОтветитьRun subtlety in the sideboard of merfolks pull an aethervial or two and some utility mers and just ruin the seam plan
ОтветитьTruly a golden era in commentary.
ОтветитьIs it uncommon to drive that far?
ОтветитьDrove 5 hundred miles to the event, the drive back probably felt like 5 million
ОтветитьQuint would drive 500 miles, and Quint would drive 500 more, just to be that dude who drove a thousand miles to become Magic lore 😄
ОтветитьPoor guy 😂
ОтветитьHe's playing solitair speed run in a magic tournament
Ответитьmy LGS started doing Modern recently and Cheerios was the deck i built. specifically cause of this video
ОтветитьAs someone who plays Yu-Gi-Oh this feels like a Yu-Gi-Oh game and in magic thats not ok in the slightest
ОтветитьThe commentators can be gold in these competitions and this is no exception.
Ответитьam i the only one who felt bad for him?
ОтветитьAnd that kind of thing is why i stopped playing yugioh.
ОтветитьHey had a land, he was just trying to keep it together and not flip the table. He was basically succeeding but maybe wanted to be a "good sport"? Probably just should have succeeded and went to play casual on the side and enjoy the rest of the day.
I also have a glass cannon deck that can win on turn 2.. its not fun to play anymore, but you bet I play it in competition matches... ah the grimy competitive scene... few decks are viable.
this is just a normal game in yugioh...
ОтветитьWait why did he kept a 0 land hand 😅
ОтветитьNothing against the player, but he kept a 6 hand. If you´re 0-1 just go to 5 or even 4. Maybe this was before the London mulligan, but even than.
Even if you have the answer in hand, not sure about keeping 0 land. It usually would work best the reverse, if 4 or 5 lands. In most situations.
Anyway, it´s allways fun to travel and roadtrip, hope he still met some people or a fine woman there.
EDIT: wow I just noticed they were both 7-1. So I assume this was last round. Therefore he made top 8. Either stopping, or playing the top 8 after, depending on the tournment. Maybe he still won? GG
When the game is just about winning. THERE IS NO GAME. THERE IS JUST WINNING AND LOSING.....
ОтветитьShould have flown?
ОтветитьIt’s just like how u feel eating cheerios. You feel sick to your stomach.
ОтветитьWell i got also brutal loses but this...this is just savage
ОтветитьAdd Elusive Otter for a back up plan
Ответитьthats the most gayest shit ive ever seen, so happy ive already quit magic ten years ago cuz it looks like its only gotten worse.
ОтветитьThis reminds me of when eggs won the world championship. By turn 3 it was a 1 player game
ОтветитьWell what is point of any game? TO WIN. Glass cannon or no glass cannon. You can be frustrated; or not like the deck and that's fine. But at the end of the day my job is win whether the opposing player has fun or not
ОтветитьShit deck
ОтветитьOnly compeitive magic I played was a Brain in a Jar deck in standard which ruined a player with a bunch of mid range expensive stuff and teched against the mirror when thay happened. Too bad it was an era of Eldrazi aggro.
Ответитьas much as this strategy is scumbaggy, its MTG's fault for allowing it to exist when they created it... Can't hate the player tbh
ОтветитьMusic is too loud
ОтветитьGod damn, its like watching a Yugioh Tournament. The one guy is playing damn Solitaire, and you're playing Poker... mostly the part where you gotta keep your cool and not strangle the guy across from you.
ОтветитьWhy no 4x dismember in the sideboards???
ОтветитьI would have just put my finger in his ear loop and pulled his face down to the table lol
ОтветитьAinda bem que não jogo mais isso. kkkkkkk
ОтветитьThe only thing that gets me is they were both 7-1 so surely they played many other matchss against other decks and, presumably knew what they were up against.
Most tournaments i went to that were not preleases or sealed we knew 99% of what to expect from other decks (besides weird curveball decks).
Surely Merfolk had a plan before the 0 land hand...right!?
