This scene, this scene right here is why this movie scared the ever loving crap out of me as a kid, it wasn't the alien on the roof, no, it wasn't the alien in the pantry scene nope, it wasn't the blending in arm before grabbing Morgan in the basement scene. It was the night walk in the cornfield and seeing the leg on the edge of the row, before it heads deeper into one side of the field and not knowing exactly where it went or what it was gonna do at that point and knowing the guy is alone at night in a fucking cornfield. This movie and Children of the Corn is why I am leery of cornfields now. 😨

The only movie that scarred me for life when I was around 5(I'm 23 now). Ironically enough, I ended up living in bucks county for about two years, where this movie took place.

Had he picked Texas as the location this would have been an entirely different movie bc as soon as that corn scene happened it would be oh toodles

Still one of my favorite horror movies. It avoids a lot of the cliches horror movies fall into. No musical sting here, but that leg is still terrifying. The whole movie does such a great job of playing with your imagination, while constantly confirming, "yes, there is something there".

Isnt there a head or face you can see in the corn stalks when he turns around? Or when the light comes back on? Can someone point it out?

When you combine great acting, great directing and a super script, it creates scenes like this…to my mind the best scene in the movie…who knew corn fields can be so terrifying!

This scene in signs, no question had me on the edge of my seat. I was ten when this movie came out in 2002. M. Night Shyamalan, is a great director, no doubt. Episcopal Academy, alumni. The sixth sense, Signs, and the Village. They are all amazing films. However, I did not see the Sixth Sense in movie theater. I was too young. But signs, I think is better than the village, no doubt. Had me on the edge of my seat, most of the time. Signs, was filmed in Bucks county, PA. When I saw Signs to buy, I grabbed it immediately. I loved the film.

This was a good intense quiet scene. Makes it more realistic.

The biggest mistake this movie made was showing the alien in full light. This scene, and the Brazilian video, should have been the clearest view the audience got of the creatures.

Cornfields are creepy as fuck you got everything from hydrophobic aliens to He Who Walks Behind the Rows creeping out here. Fuck no.

Signs is a legitimately excellent film with phenomenal acting, terror, and well-thought examinations of faith, while capably presenting entertaining catharsis.
