A small mod that adds in four new weapons with no aim time, allowing you to shoot somewhat faster initially, and then slowing down as it goes on. A cool idea!

'Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Quickdraw is an addition to a popular Vanilla Expanded mod series, adding four new quickdraw weapons. These firearms allow you to quickly respond to sudden enemy encounters, as special plasteel alloys allow you to reduce the aiming time to zero. There are drawbacks however - whilst these weapons fire a little bit faster than their vanilla counterparts, the cooldown after firing the shots is slightly increased.

A lot of these weapons are in reality much like their traditional counterparts, with only the aiming and cooldown time values being changed.

Vanilla Weapons Expanded is part of a series of mods expanding on everyday life on the Rimworld. When paired together with a brand new Vanilla Apparel Expanded and Vanilla Armours Expanded, you can bring something to your game that will keep you interested in it for days.'

Sniper is the best Comparison to Bullpup DMR because Sniper may have eclipse the damage ... but the Quickdraw makes 2 quick fires to equalize the total damage

I always felt like aiming time should have slight reduction based on someone's shooting skill.

The only two things I hate more than anything else in rimworld's combat system is how broken mele stunlock is and the fact that an 'expert' pistol user decides to sit around for 2 seconds before every shot.

(-and a third being shotguns don't have any simulated spread so they just completely miss 90% of the time or completely hit 10% of the time)

You forgot to mention that Vanilla Weapons Expanded is required. That one adds a ton of weapons I really do not want.

you need to check out the mod "weaponry". It lets you customize all the stats about each weapon and one of the things you can change is aim time. You can even change damage and time between shots. You can change the tags on guns too so you can set if the AI spawns with them or not. Its a great mod when you get used to it.

Imagine a shotgun or some set of explosives with that sort of properties. That would be terrifying if several raiders dropping mid base would happen to have these.

I can imagine the DMR sticking to stats akin to carbine instead of the actual sniper rifle for the sake of balancing, as a quickdraw sniper would easily win most sniping duels.

so what happens if you draft and undraft pawns, would they just shoot instantly every time you do

To be honest this dont really affect game play.

As most battle are not surprise fight.

Ofc there is exception.
1.
Opening ancient danger. (Not actually surprise as we got notification.

2. Taking on offense.
Opening enemy building may had enemy in it.

3. Infestation.
This is the most useful.
For obvious reason.
