Hey thanks for the video.
Quick question do i need the locking pins to remove just the crank pully? Or is it just the holding tool required?
Does anyone know how many Nm is the valve cover tightened?
(I'm asking for Seat Leon 1.2 105HP , CBZB)

ОтветитьPlease what torque you used to tighten oil pump sprocket? I found 14nm+90°
ОтветитьHey mate. Nice job. I’m about to tackle my wife’s car. Question about the crank sprocket. I noticed it’s not keyed. Any tips on how to make sure the timing is spot on? Cheers.
ОтветитьGreat video thanks 🙏
ОтветитьBest timing chain video I have seen, very easy to understand, btw can you please share the make or part number of the camshaft counter hold tool please
ОтветитьThnx bro
ОтветитьVery good video👍 . Plz! What is the size of the socket /bolt for the crankshaft? Its a 12 edges.
ОтветитьAm a technician my self, replaced the complete timing chain kit inc oil pump chain and sprockets and i have a rattle on cold start which lasts around 2seconds and than disappear s everytime, it been like 2years done nearly 20k miles and i drive like a madman since job done and still does it lasts 2sec and disappears, as long as you get oil pressure to the tensioner within second u should be ok leave it idle for couple mins and you should be fine. this is from my xp.
ОтветитьКакое название динамитрического ключа?
ОтветитьExcellent video. Thank you for taking the time to make and share it.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this. Very informative indeed. A quick question if you dont mind. My polo has this engine now at 136000km and I'll be doing a timing chain replacement. Is it a good idea to get a new oil pump or just the oil pump chain?
ОтветитьDoes anyone know the torque spec for the oil pump sprocket bolt? Can't seem to find that anywhere.
ОтветитьHi.i have a skoda rapid space back with a 1.2 this engine has 98k miles on it mine sounds fine they said I won't have to change it ilbut I don't belive that what's your thoughts on this engine and wen to change the timing chain is this a non interference engine ?
Ответитьive got a VW Beetle 1.2TSI from 2016. When accelerating i get this ratteling noice from the engine bay. could this issue have something to do with the timing chain aswell? it has done 125.000km
Ответитьwhere are you guys based ?
ОтветитьNormaly you change the pinon from crankshaft too because since of wear
Ответитьso shitly motor!!!!.....the chain always lengthens!!!!!! ..every 50 k km!!!!!
ОтветитьThanks ! Great movie , really helpful
ОтветитьHi, I’ve followed this video and replaced the chain. When checking the timing the engine turns fine but the timing isn’t 100%. When it hits the crank bolt the cam locking tool is very slightly off and I can’t get the screw in. Does this need correcting or will it be okay? Anyone know?
ОтветитьYou said the oil pump chain was loose. Can this also generate a noise when the engine is a little warm after a drive?
ОтветитьA bit of rattle on startup is fine guys.
ОтветитьThanks a lot for sharing. I've got a rattling noise from my mk6 golf 1.2 tsi as well , usually when I turn on the engine , then the noise goes away, and the car feels like normal. Do you reckon it could be something to do with the timing chain ?
Appreciate any feedback. Thanks
how much torque needs the tensor chain?
ОтветитьVery helpful this video.
First time for me doin this specific engine and I’ve already striped all water hoses from one side 😱
At least now I know I don’t have to next time. Thanks.
Can I check? Is this the same 1.2tsi that's in an 11 plate Golf? Having to replace a HG and this would be great if it's the same engine!
ОтветитьWhere can I get the timing replacement kit ? The actual kit that'll help me block the timing before removing the chain it self ?
ОтветитьHi mate wondering for abit of advise. I'm getting my timing chain done did you get the oil pump chain with the timing kit or is that separate. Also I have a slight leak that side what seals and gaskets did you replace/ should I get replaced when doing this job. Thanks
ОтветитьNIcee job and nice video !!!
ОтветитьAny locations on Florida??? I have problems on jetta 1.8 tsi
ОтветитьHi. Where can you get such a counter holder for tightening the camshaft sprocket? ty
Ответитьwhy don't you change the crankshaft sprocket too?

ОтветитьAny trick on how to check if the camshaft gears (vanos) are damaged or worn? I keep getting code P0011 & P0341 after changing sensors, oil control valves, magnetic adjusters & checking the wiring on my mk7 gti chh engine
Ответить1.2 ts dsg ? Manuel
ОтветитьI'm a VW tech, been ages since I did one of these, nice little refresher before I go in today, cheers
Ответитьwhich oil is best for that engine, 0w30 or 5w30
ОтветитьIs it normal for a new chain to make a noise on first start up when cold for just a few seconds and then clear
ОтветитьMERCI beaucoup pour votre vidéo, grâce a vous j'ai réussit a remplacer la chaine de distribution de mon yeti cbzb heureusement car la chaine avait sauter une dent et fonctionnait encore... merci encore ...
ОтветитьVery informative thanks a lot great video, I'm a mobile mechanic doing one tomorrow, it's nice how you haven't got to strip the entire side of the engine looking forward to it now
ОтветитьWhat is the tightening torque of oil pump gear wheel ? Thank You!
ОтветитьCan you share the brand of torque meter? :)
ОтветитьHi. I have 1.2 TSI bmt. Can i use 1.4 TSI BMT camshaft on my engine. I mean is it bolt on? And if its possible, make any difference?
Ответитьsnap-on best i have the same torq Lumper dondt forget every 4 yeras give back to calibrite
ОтветитьReally nice video, great job with clear and easy explanation
Ответитьthanks for the video, im planning to do it myself as the chain is pretty loose and probably jumped as its now showing different error codes and rattling ,i was wondering i always heard to change water pump in the same time , is it true for my polo 1.2 tsi 2011 ( exactly same engine as the video ) what are you using to clean (flush) the parts and wich sealant to build it back up . happy to see mechanics in Australia sharing tips, im in sydney , as it would cost a fortune otherwise. will follow you from now on . Cheers
ОтветитьHello, this is a great video. I have a SEAT Ibiza 2014 1.2TSI CBZB 4 Door. I am trying to mimic this procedure on the same engine. I just have one question and would be grateful for any general advice. Before you insert the timing tool in the sump there is a small bracket on the back held on by the Allan bolt and one other small bolt, which I noticed you removed before bottoming out the bolt against the crank. Does that small bracket on the back definitely need to come off, as I have seen other videos where people have changed the chain without removing it. As it’s my first time doing this I am concerned that surely if I make a mistake at this crucial stage the damage may cost a small fortune. Thanks in advance
