Fix Power Surge on USB Port in Windows 11

how if there's no generic usb hub?

I wouldnt do this...
I bought a 60w type c to type c usb connector to charge my phone, my motherboard manual said its usb type c power plug to the front panel supported up to 25w fast charge so figured aight itll just adapt.

Anyway, before i even connected it to my phone i plugged it in and immediately got power surge warning and it turned off all usb 3 functionality. Only my usb 2.0 devices worked, even if they were on my usb 3 ports (mobo only has usb 3 port). But anyway usb 3 device wouldnt work.

Restarted computer and it worked. Tried tbe charger cable in the back of my motherboard directly with the fastest type c port and it seemed to work but still slow. If this setting was off, my system might have gotten fried.

Lesson learned... dont fuckin bother with type c. All this bullshit variant types for usbs nowadays, where the hell is usb 2 and usb 3 fits everything no bs worrying about frying shit and destroying everything.

This just made my day! I'm at work and a power surge disabled the USB ports on the front of my computer. Tried turning off and then on, etc. and was not working. Found your video and VOILA! Many thanks!!

tried everything, did not work. looked at the usb port, and saw a small metal screw was stuck there LOL.

Brother mera Usb port work nahi kar raha hai. Maine BIOS chcek kiya waha error bata raha h usb port mein | maine case log kar diya hai case I'd mil gaya hai. Ab kya krna hai ???!! Aur yeh issue kis cheez ka hai usb port work na karna.....

🛑EN- To turn off the USB's when the PC is off, just open cmd and enter the information below and restart the PC.
powercfg -h off

Hi! I have a USB with a serial number on it to run a program and it doesn't seem to work after I updated to windows 11. I've tried updating the USB drivers, changing the power management like in the video above. Nothings working. Any suggestions? Thanks!
