When is Sig going to make a 11-13 round 45ACP P320!
ОтветитьMy brother owns one of these things, I absolutely love that thing. I’m not big on too many of the Sig models, but that thing is something else. Great gun to shoot, ergonomics are really nice as well. Outside of it being painfully expensive it’s a really cool pick.
ОтветитьYes, this is a interesting pistol, I had a X-Ten full size, I liked it but I got a little "trigger pinch or bite" and a bit of fatigue when shooting it. I sold it and purchased the P220 Legion 10mm SAO, a big difference in a few characteristics, Can't wait for your follow up video!
ОтветитьWhen I bought my Springfield XDmE Compact 10mm, it was for a hunt out west, and I didn't want to buy a revolver.
I chose it because it was a size I could conceal carry it, but I typically open carry when hunting.
The XTen Comp and the FN510 both have my eye, but I am secretly hoping FN releases a FNX-10.👊
I enjoy thr v crowns too. Haven't shot the 10mm but the 9mm is nice stuff, no failures ever with it too.
ОтветитьGonna get one soon, looks perfect to carry in bag for hikes.
ОтветитьThough I like the idea of having a serialized fire control group and the modularity it brings, I'm am not sold on any Sig 320s at the moment. With over 100 pending lawsuits alleging Sig 320s just going off on their own, even while holstered, I just don't trust them for concealed carry.
For carry I prefer da/sa pistols, then sa, then striker fired pistols if it has a good safety. I would never conceal carry a single action pistol cocked & "UNLOCKED", Nor would I consider a Sig 320 for carry purposes, even with a safety.
What I would really love would be an HK 45 compact but chambered in 10mm. I'm considering getting the HK45 compact anyways and just using 45 Super ammo instead of standard 45 ammo. The ballistics of 45 super are close enough to 10mm, but the downside is the cost of ammo is very cost prohibitive. One advantage is I could use standard 45 for the range and 45 Super for the outdoors.
I welcome any comments on my thoughts on using 45 super vs 10mm.
Thanks & take care.
I own many different 10mm pistols and the XTEN line manages recoil the best. My EDC XTEN has over 8k rds fired and my XTEN Comp has about 1.5k rds fired. The XTEN Comp is now my primary EDC and the XTEN secondary only because I AIWB and the Comp’s slightly shorter slide is more pleasant while sitting.
People talk about 10mm power like it’s a 500 S&W Magnum. It’s far from that and the .357 Magnum is more powerful than the 10mm. Generally speaking, the 10mm is only 200-300 fps faster than the .40 S&W.
The 10mm is the most versatile pistol cartridge. The Norma spec loads were designed specifically to stop violent human threats. A byproduct is its inherent ability to harvest large game with hard cast bullets.
I believe that the issue conceal carrying a 10mm is if you get in a defensive shooting the courts will use it against you. The 40 is the largest round I conceal carry. As a outdoors gun I would love to have a 10mm.
ОтветитьWay way overpriced
ОтветитьI own this. It’s definitely a hammer! Shot 180grn Sig Elite ammo.Yellow/ blk box ball. 1st grip is awesome and comfortable. Texture is grippy. First shot impression is it is stiff right out the box. I sold my G29sf and got this as a replacement. Loud yes. I hope its action softens up over time . Little jack hammer feeling/ stiff to me. As for flat face trigger, as of right now not a fan so I’m on the other side as OP in video. Looking at replacing it with a curved from APEX. First give it as few hundred rounds to see if it smooths out the gritty feeling. Before replacing. As for function it cycled and shot 100% . Ran it fast thru 2 mags. Overall I’m happy with it. Graysgins had a magwell I’m going to throw on mine. Holsters are hard to find . Haven’t found one yet. Hope this helps.
ОтветитьBe interested in your thoughts on how Sig P320 XTEN Comp, compares to the FN 510 or the S&W M&P 2.0 10mm?
ОтветитьHave had mine for a few months now, it’s an absolute unit! Low recoil, thin, lightweight for what it is. Accurate, no issues other than price tag! 😂
ОтветитьYa know I absolutelylove Sig's.I have over 50 of them. In that collection are 7 P-320's. I was all set to watch your video and "enlist"..UNTIL you brought out the worlds biggest POS pistol and laid it on the table. I am so SICK and TIRED of the JUNK BS. Evidently none of you guys does any research on GLUNK JUNK die to the praise it receives as "the best", "most reliable", 70% up to 2000% of ALL PD's and miltaries carry them..WELL BS! I am a retired 30 year US Marine, all infantry related fields during that 30years and GLOCKS SUCK. Don't bring that junk out and lay it down beside a truly great gun..it is insulting. So, no, I will not subscribe.
ОтветитьI have this one and the full size version and both are picky with hollow point ammo due to the magazines. I'm surprised you didn't notice with the Sig V Crown ammo because it has that wide open hollow point. I've found two types of hollow points that don't bind up in the mags and they both have more of a pointed profile and smaller hole. FMJ rounds are fine in them, but once you start using a lot of these different hollow points--if they are too wide open--you'll notice they bind up in the mags and cause them to just fall out the top.
ОтветитьThey need to make one in G29 size
ОтветитьThe FBI can go back to Sig with this gun
ОтветитьSince you've shot this already with the Sig ammo, can you tell me if there are any bulges in the brass? Need to know how supported the cartridge is in the chamber, since I reload and have some nice full power ammunition and am always concerned with brass blowing out. Thanks!
ETA: I found out from other sources there is no bulge in the brass after firing real 10mm rounds.
I am also annoyed at Sig. The whole point of purchasing a P320 is you can get parts from other calibers and swap them out. BUT, they still don't offer any 10mm parts, so if I had purchased a 9mm or .45 ACP version, I cannot convert it to 10mm. So if I wanted the 10mm version, I would have to purchase the 10mm version first, then purchase ANY OTHER CALIBER conversion parts. And if I have the comped version, I can't buy the upper or the non-comped version from Sig.
I have the original non compensated X-Ten. Given Sig's modularity, would I be able to buy a compensated slide and install that on the og frame?
ОтветитьI’ve owned mine since May and it’s my EDC in a Craft Holsters ROTO shoulder holster rig. It’s incredibly accurate and relatively lightweight. Compared say to my 1911 TRP 10mm from Springfield Armory. I carried it all day yesterday when we traveled across the Appalachian Mountains into NC. Fell asleep yesterday evening in my “Dad’s Big Boy Recliner” after getting home. I’ve been a certified firearms instructor for over 35 years, a shooting competitor for longer than that and before that… I taught the Infantry.
ОтветитьI'm a big guy, so yeah, I actually conceal a full size pistol And I really love p320 xten. I have a slight tremor in my hands and I am enjoy the weight but the only thing I have
The problem with is I really wish cig would come out with the tungsten. Infused Modular a grip with a magwell. I own a cig spectra and a dh3 And I love their magwells On both of those pistols, because it just fits my hand perfect. Here again, I would love to find an actual magwell for the x ten. After watching this a little video I think I will Choose this particular weapon as a new Concealed carry. The price point. Is it that much when you compare it to other pistols plus out of the box The x ten shoots I like butter. I've owned numerous different pistols anywhere from you, Kimber to a s&w , Springfield, a glock And I would have to say for me personally, I shoot the sig so much better.
Accept my kimber.
Isn't it more like the Glock 29?
ОтветитьNo safety or decocker? So a single action only with no safety? Am I missing something?
ОтветитьNerd round for those that need to compensate for lack of skill.
ОтветитьThx for the video. Whats the materials made of ?
ОтветитьI carry a glock 29 now and made the comment to my cousin (who works in a gun shop) that I was looking at a replacement in 10mm. He brought one of these for me to try. Needless to say, I've been waiting for one of my local shops to get one in so I can go and pick it up. My cousin lives 3 hours away, or else I would have made the trip and bought from him. Really wonderful shooter, and I'm totally blown away by how well that integral compensator does.
ОтветитьHi point > Sig
