The thing I didn't forget was the family, the three of them.
Four.
What?
Four of them.
Four what?
Four family members.
Well, I didn't forget the three of them.
Disturbing the audience, (annoying them, subverting them, rubbing negativity on them, rubbing morbidity on them, not giving them a "happy" ending, or even a closure), is NOT entertainment!
But narcissism! Narcissistic movie making!!
Indie films? = Narcissism.
However, Tent-Pole movies? Blockbuster movies? Mainstream movies? = Real Entertainment.
PERIOD
i love this keep going ari aster . beau is afraid is also a masterpiece we really need to see more
ОтветитьWow.. what a compliment. Yea this movie was on another level..
ОтветитьThe marketing for this movie was just so brilliant. Making Charlie out to be this evil force. I literally had no idea where the movie was going after they oofed charlie
ОтветитьWe need a 24-hour Roku channel of just Scorsese talking about films he loves.
ОтветитьSuch a powerful movie that I’ll never watch again. Waaaay too scary.
ОтветитьYe
ОтветитьI knew my relationship with who I thought was the love of my life was doomed when we went to see this movie and she didn't like it.....
Ответитьvery disturbing film. couldn't finish it
ОтветитьThey make you think Beau is crazy at first, but once you see the guy chasing him on video the audience is cued in on the fact Beau’s life was being manipulated and he was actually being tested by arbitrary tests with vague rules, especially considering how extreme the scenarios were. Killings in the streets, Homeless people partying and wrecking his apartment, him discovering his mother’s death, nearly being killed by a cop after discovering someone is still in his apartment. Being stabbed and ending up instead of a hospital, with strangers who patched him up, but refuse to take him home. He’s painted as weak for being threatened, gaslighted and manipulated.
Ответитьi dont think horror belongs with film making. you get to rely on horror and shock
ОтветитьTony Colette is my wank fantasy.
ОтветитьThe first time I watched this movie, I didn't even realize how good the actors were because I was the most freaked out I have ever been from a movie. The second time I watched it, I was blown away by the acting, (all the non-horror stuff, the family dynamic as Scorsese mentions). It just locks in your attention.
ОтветитьApart from the acting that movie was trash. Why is everyone praising it? I guess boring is considered good now?
ОтветитьThis movie I almost walked out on..not because it was disturbing..it was going decent then it just tumbled. It was almost comedic to a point. Just didnt work.
ОтветитьBored out of my fucking mind watching it. So much over hype, it's ridiculous.
ОтветитьI didn’t think the movie was all that good tbh. Maybe I was expecting more, because it was hyped up so much. It was ok.
ОтветитьA few good scenes but bad ending. Devil cults are such a boring old trope. Same goes for the witch. Devil actually exists? Lol. Judeo Christian morality and binary good and evil themes are so tiresome.
ОтветитьThe ending sucked as usual. Same with beau is afraid. Aster is not good with endings.
