Oh, this was before the show aired .... oh boy. Netflix really knows how to subvert our expectations...

I started from the movie and PS3 game. Then I read the books and watched the anime.

I'm pretty confused, can anyone explain to me why the animated one or it's ending is so mixed?

It kinda feels like if fanfiction was a tv show, the order that was correct is completely destroyed and whatever is whenever.

I love love loved the fresh take the Netflix version took with the material. I didn't need another faithful-to-the-books story and it was faithful to the characters while giving us something new. Spectacular.

As someone who just got into it because of the animation... took me 4 episodes to realize I was watching a like New Game + Alternate Route w/ Secret Boss ending. Version of Scott Pilgrim. I watched the movie to quickly catch up on the basic idea of the story. I must say I enjoyed the writing very much. Reminded me of Cartoons I used to make about my friends in school.

I loved the show to the moon and back. It was fucking amazing and provided more depth into the fact Scott is not a victim or a hero. He has miles of flaws he doesn't acknowledge or so much as become conscious of until the end. And the show reminds us that he may never change.

I still dont know how to feel about the show itself. I enjoyed it but at the same time something felt off for me. not that I didn't like the interaction between the characters and a bit of exploration between them and what happened between them in the past if any that is... but at the same time the spark wasn't there for me in the same way the movie and the comic books were, the art, music and animations were on point though and I cant wait to see where it goes from here if it gets another season.

okay watching this post series and i fucking loved it. i don’t see why people are complaining saying it’s a show about scott when it’s literally called scott pilgrim TAKES OFF. like gone, bye bye, not here. i will say ofc i was shocked when scott lost but i was so happy with what we got. we already have the story told in the comics, it would be cool for a true adaptation but a whole new story with a whole new life to these characters is just as amazing and fun. it’s new content and id much rather have new content then nothing at all! anyone dissing on it is just a hater for literally no reason. the show had action, scott was still in the god damn show too, it had an amazing ost, and amazing character delopment. if you’re reading this and haven’t seen it GO WATCH IT!! if you don’t like it that’s fine, but don’t be a hater and say it’s awful all around because some people like it and we shouldn’t shit on what people love

The animes lowkey mid so far almost finished but alot of the gay/straight romance scenes are hella forced and the dialogue seems blocky idk just ain't hittin🤷‍♂️

I really did think it was a fantastic show, but I can't help but lament that we'll likely never see an adaptation as faithful as the film of the original story in animated form.

Haha I love Edgar Wright's description, as "Something... ELSE." 😆 I don't think anyone was expecting what we got. I told a friend who's also a big fan, "Oh well ya know, they tweaked a few things, gave everybody more character, etc" and now he's watching it and is loving the bizarre new story lol

Not only did we get the perfect series, but a perfect mini-doc and primer. This video was great; the series was great; and I can happily say this franchise continues to bring me joy at a time where there’s not much of it in the world.

Update the anime was also perfect

It was indeed amazing

the series was so good omg i loved it. I'm so glad we got less scott and more of the other characters. we didn't get to spend as much time with them as we did in the movie. it was fun seeing the world from other perspectives not just scott's. although i love scott, sometimes i get a little tired of him.

Why would I ever hate it?

I genuinely did not like the voice acting by a good portion of the cast, which makes doesn’t make any sense considering I loved the acting in the film. It felt so flat for me.

90% of why I love the movie is because Brie Larson and Romona flowers are super hot. I don’t think I can be into an animated Loli type character.

hurt people may use their power to take other's will. There's a fight bigger than all of us coming. Those that control us are in pain, unfortunately our fight will be forgiveness and to teach. We need to teach the most powerful how to forgive by giving them our support, not about the money, but their emotions. CEO's and politicians were children once. They are disconnected from what their fathers did to us. If someone tells you you're cringe, you're doing the right thing. Man, we need hippies again.

Scott has always been one of the most cridge shitty properties in history. with one of the grossest most annoying fandoms to boot. This entry is just typical of the trash that this series has always been known for, and yet again boring pseudo intellectuals who think Game cube is cool are soying for it. Just another day, just another day.

Personality, I’m so disappointed with the Netflix show. Curious what you think about it.

Honestly this series was much better than what we could’ve hoped for. We’re just spoiled. Enough about Scott, it’s about time the story focused on Ramona and the Exes more!

Up to episode 4... guess what? ITS PERFECT!
