Awesome video. Thanks alot
ОтветитьMy dad told me he knew how to bleed brakes, now here I am looking at how to do it by myself
ОтветитьDoes this harm the car if I bleed the brakes while the car engine is running? Or do you suggest doing the bleeding procedure while engine is turned off?
ОтветитьReally great video! Thank you from Australia!
ОтветитьAn initial step on the brakes is spongy but stepping on it again is stiff. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьThis video absolutely cleared up doubts I had about doing brake bleeding myself.
ОтветитьI have trouble-saving hack to help prevent breaking off the bleeder fitting. Make sure you have the dust caps on the fitting. Pop them off a day or two before starting the bleeding process and spray WD-40 into the fitting and replace the cap. This will help prevent snapping off the fitting when you loosen it and avoid a caliper replacement. You’re welcome!
ОтветитьHow do you know when the air is out if you doing it by yourself?
ОтветитьThis video is internet Gold
ОтветитьDoes this work on calipers with 2 bleeder screw? My brembos have 2 bleeder screw per caliper.
ОтветитьI enjoy learning every time.
I ride a 2017 JK Wrangler.
My question is, is there an intake that has a throttle installed above the lower intake? The lower intake licked when I applied 7.4ft-lbs of torque to the 8 bolts that attach it, how can I fix it?
It’s a Pop bottle!
ОтветитьYou're the great love you
ОтветитьI have to change brake calipers on my Ford Grand C-Max from 2013. The car has a "manual" handbrake that functions via wire on the rear caliper. Is it advisable to bleed the brakes BEFORE mounting the hand brake cable - or doesn´t it matter if you do it or not? I have heard some people claiming that it can be more difficult to bleed the brakes if you mount the handbrake cable to the caliper before bleeding.
ОтветитьWat about the air in the hose? Even if you prefill it you won't get all air out.. I'm just keep bugging my wife till she finally stands on my peddle well I turn the values
ОтветитьGod bless, I'm doing this tomorrow after a long week working on my car. Wish me luck
ОтветитьI needed to do a complete break job on my ‘05 F150. I bought one of the more expensive vacuum devices…to ‘help’ speed the process along. After wasting time with the contraption, I built my collection bottle following your design. It worked perfectly and it was free (already had the tubing). THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
ОтветитьI would think that by now there would be a quick connect fitting for hose to caliper that would allow for ZERO leakage and wouldn't come off if you bump the hose. Or at least a valve of some sort when you are putting on a new caliper.
ОтветитьVery important to notice that he set the bottle above the height of the bleeder valve. I had mine sitting on the garage floor and went through 2 large bottles of fluid before I figured it out.
ОтветитьQuick question. Does the vehicle have to be turned on to do this ?
ОтветитьI really really appreciate the tip... I just changed rear wheel cylinders and I am just about ready to bleed and I am by myself... About to find me a soda bottle!🙂
ОтветитьU forgot to remove zirc dust cover b4 starting each brake then reinstall zirc dust cover. Keeps the crud out of zirc fitting
ОтветитьI have usa 2016 toyota Corolla, master cylinder at driver side ,abs module at passenger side, where to start bleed.tq
ОтветитьHas anyone tried repeatedly changing only the brake fluid in the reservoir method over a period of several weeks? Although not perfect, I believe this "Turkey-Baster" method does somewhat of a good job as a lot of the brake fluid eventually circulates throughout the entire system anyways and the brake lines will eventually fill with new brake fluid.
ОтветитьDoes the vehicle have to be on???
Ответитьit can be annoying if the container for the fluid falls over, but there are bleeder kits out there with the bottle, the tube and a magnet to hold the bottle in place. just stick it to your car, easy, costs £10
ОтветитьHow did you get hard brakes if your bleeder valve wasn't tight yet? You were JUST pushing fluid through there, so any press of the brake would just push fluid through the hose instead of staying in the calipers to become firm. That part made no sense
ОтветитьToo many Part stores DO NOT deal with old fluids?
ОтветитьMy friend showed me how to FIX his radio in his Grand Marquis with a Flat Head Screwdriver 🪛. It worked out good! Some stress relief 😆😅😂🤣👍🏻🇺🇲
ОтветитьThank you for sharing
ОтветитьI'm going to have to bleed my brakes I was wondering if you could tell me I don't have no brakes at all with this method still work for me frontier Nissan 98 I used to have a little break now no brakes
ОтветитьThank you A1
ОтветитьThank you! Great video and clearly explained
ОтветитьDoes it matter if the car is on or off when doing this? Thank you
ОтветитьDoes it have to be brake fluid that you put in the bottle or can it be any kind of liquid?
ОтветитьThanks for posting ..I put the rubber back on piston and fluid came out probably air got in to the hose and now spongy brakes ..I’ll bleed my brakes tomorrow ..
ОтветитьNice porno music
ОтветитьDo I have to press down the break when done bleeding? Then close it?
ОтветитьI don't understand how it doesn't suck in the fluid in the bottle back up into the system when you let off the brake. ty
ОтветитьQuestion - I have a 2007 Hyundai Sonata V6 that has "power assist" brakes (I may be using the wrong term) so when the power to the car is on, the brakes seem to be assisted by the power in the car, if that makes sense. Long question short, do I pump the brakes with the key on or off? TIA
ОтветитьThis was a super knowledgeable and helpful video!! It’s so awesome to know that I can bleed the brakes myself without any assistance using this this bottle that you rigged up!! Genius!! Thanks a bunch!!
ОтветитьThat takes way too long and wastes too much fluid.
MANUAL BLEEDING
This is the way I do it.
Do not pump the brake pedal at any time while bleeding. Air in the system will be compressed into small
bubbles that are distributed throughout the hydraulic system. This will make additional bleeding operations
necessary.
Do not allow the master cylinder to run out of fluid during bleed operations. An empty cylinder will allow
additional air to be drawn into the system. Check the cylinder fluid level frequently and add fluid as needed.
Bleed only one brake component at a time in the following sequence:
Right Rear Wheel
Left Rear Wheel
Right Front Wheel
Left Front Wheel
1. Remove reservoir filler caps and fill reservoir.
2. If calipers were overhauled, open all caliper bleed screws. Then close each bleed screw as fluid starts to
drip from it. Top off master cylinder reservoir once more before proceeding.
3. Attach one end of bleed hose to bleed screw and insert opposite end in glass container partially filled with
brake fluid. Be sure end of bleed hose is immersed in fluid.
4. Open up bleeder, then have a helper press down the brake pedal. Once the pedal is down close the
bleeder. Repeat bleeding until fluid stream is clear and free of bubbles. Then move to the next wheel.
What do you think about gravity bleeding?
ОтветитьExcellent technic you used
ОтветитьI got the kit from advance auto. I never knew how convenient it is just bleed brakes
ОтветитьWow this is a great video, thabks a lot of showing the right way to do this job.
ОтветитьYou guys are my go to for parts and know how. Thank you.
ОтветитьCan you do this process with a 2010 Prius without putting into invalid mode or even turning it on?
ОтветитьThank you for sharing
