ОтветитьIs there a part two?
ОтветитьDude! This was awesome. This put a fresh coat of paint onto terms I was familiar with, and made me think harder about them and the effects they really have. Thank you.
ОтветитьThis is perfect...Thank you !
ОтветитьLove it❤️ Going to saved this clip and replay. Question... does it have to in certain structure or layout ?
ОтветитьCan you overdo any of these poetic devices in a poem?
ОтветитьDude did the duffle ducks
ОтветитьThis is great. Where can i get the exercises mentioned in this video? I need practice!
ОтветитьPorch? it's couch!
ОтветитьPart 2 sir, where is part 2
ОтветитьI found poetry is quite similar to art that you can over-analyse it to death and make meaning out of total nonsense.
Ответитьwonderful!!! Please make a second part, it has been so helpful!!!
ОтветитьThat was fantastic thanks very much, l enjoyed that, nicely done sir. 👏 👏 💕 ☺ 🖋 📙 🎓 🇮🇪
ОтветитьThanks Justin. I must have looks at about five other poetry commentaries and I liked your the best. Do you do any requests?

Ответитьbrilliant ... looking forward to part 2
ОтветитьI had to recite "stopping by woods".. in high school!
ОтветитьYou missed so many sounds you were looking for in alliteration. Every sound was found in every stanza.
ОтветитьI come back to this so much, you and I are of such a same mind when it comes to poetry and creative writing. Even your example poems are favorites of mine. Do wish there was more.
ОтветитьThank you for this invaluable content.
ОтветитьLove your poetry study videos!
Ответитьi love this person who is speaking now.
ОтветитьI must say, you did a fantastic job with explaining the techniques in these poems. Homeschooling is challenging with a child on the spectrum, not to mention finding information similar to old teaching techniques I was brought up on. My son was very attentive through this whole video. Bless you and keep up the great work. ❤️
ОтветитьI'm a novice creative writer I like to share something that I came up with today hopefully you enjoy...
LIFE
-----------
God I hope your reading my heart through this pen
Forgive me as I noticed that nailed scarred skin, carrying the cross for my sin, let me help you with that weight of the world that your in I may never understand your plans of my life and it's wearing thin your so extraterrestrial and paranormal
with in, how could you send your son into this world I'm in, you keep cross-examining me
With unreasonable ideas to live with
I'm in you you in me
where's our perfect harmony
I want that structure of our Melody
To hit every note of a song
To sing so proudly
You're the architect of my salvation
To the Genesis of creation
The very bein of holy inspiration
Listening to Angelic tears formed at the foundation
I'm a newbie at this life of mine
Unborn butterfly in the night
Such a caterpillar and a cocoon
Metaphorical mind
Eating at my life
John 3:16
Where's eternity
Sounds unfamiliar and scary
I can't take all this on my own
Oh holy God shine your grace I feel alone
Your poetry of beauty male and female on your throne
Incubated life pushing me to be shown

I'm out here seeking to know if what I recite on my channel is poetry, because I just write.
ОтветитьThank you SO much for this. I have just started a unit on poetry for my CW course and I've been panicking... this really broke it down for me and helped. Saved and will come back to, as well as the notes I took. again, thank you!
ОтветитьThank you Justin!!
ОтветитьIt's pretty great respected I like it the teaching
ОтветитьI feel like Im the luckiest person in the world because I found this class. my life with poem will never be the same again. it's like opening a new world to me. thank you so much💕💕💕
Ответитьthere are six lines in each stanza. And there are repeated words. Does this make this form sistina?
ОтветитьThe woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep.
Fond of this..
So this is extremely helpful. One thing I would like to see though:
I now know HOW to use alliteration, assonance, consonance, onomatopoeia, etc. But I would have liked more instruction on WHEN or WHY to use them. What is the psychological, emotional, or aesthetic effect of each technique?
Brilliant, thank you,
ОтветитьThank you for illustrating with these great poems. I feel very inspried.
ОтветитьAmazing 👏👏🙏🙏
ОтветитьMost poetry leaves me cold but I have read or heard poetry that knocked my socks off. I do believe poetry is foundational. I had a friend who challenged me to write a poem, said he'd give me five dollars for every one I completed. It was an interesting experiment and I noticed, it seemed to improve my fiction writing afterwards, like it allowed me to get in touch with something I had no access to before.
ОтветитьHello! May I ask if you're a creative writing teacher? Just curious, thank you
