Good video could be snappier.
ОтветитьFrom entry level employee to warehouse supervisor, my professional career seems to be headed towards this exact kind of role in an organization I enjoy working for and believe in. I'm currently working on my MBA combined with a Supply Chain Management and Operations emphasis, and if I can become a manager sooner rather than later, it would be an incredible personal achievement for me. I can follow-up with this brilliant video again to help me accomplish the ultimate goal of becoming a director once I have gained the proper skill level and understanding of a senior-level manager. God bless you for sharing this knowledge, I will watch more of your videos.
ОтветитьEasiest way is to keep on switching after you reach manager level. Cz No one actually cares you or your achievements in reality.
Make the move and let them understand why you would deserve better
This is great video for people who work in normal companies who treat their people right. These are exceptions. Thanks for posting.
ОтветитьDr Lee in theory sounds good, however in practice, Nepotism is king. Regular people have no chance to proof anything
Ответить2 questions from me, much appreciate any feedbacks.
1. How get your work recognized? IE., you did the work to get your manager promoted to director or even higher, but your manger takes the credits.
2. How to prevent jealousy when you start to communicate like a boss?
So when you start to communicate well, you also become competitive to the people around you. How do you protect yourself?
I think I'm a manager/director, but have a blue collar job.
ОтветитьGreat video!
I'm wondering what suggestions you have for people looking to getting into director roles who haven't actually been in corporate before.
I'm going from scientist, to educator, to business founder/owner, to looking at director positions
Dear Grace of God, Thank You, you are an instrument of Divine that validated what I knew in my heart, I have years of playing at Director level. Thank you, thank you, thank you. My key takeaway is that I Am Ready 😀🙌❤️🎉🧘🏻♀️🦋
Ответитьeverything is about politics and relations, you manage those well and you can be an executive, i you know how to play the game of relations you can get anything
ОтветитьOnly requirement…. Be Asian…. Asians are the best mental humans.
ОтветитьManaging is using the available tools. Directorship is a building talent from within.
Managers take what they have and apply to the jobs that need to get done. Directors use organic growth to build sustainability from within.
Managers make sure the wheels keep grinding. Directors figure out how to use frictionless technology to overcome physical limitations.
So much foreplay with nothing at the end.
ОтветитьDirecor is a level lower than manager in my company.
ОтветитьPhD required
ОтветитьThe fastest way to be promoted is actally easier then all that ... just change comapny.
ОтветитьIf you are not white, firgetabouit....
ОтветитьThis video is great but here is the thing - noone wants to teach you on how to become a manager. There will be always a developed approach in the company on how to do your stuff and you have two choices - to survive or to quit. In some rare cases there will be a great coach or the good-developed processes, but the majority of the companies just follow their own path without any care. And what was not mentioned in this video - there is no strict rules how to run your own business (so basically everything could work). IMO there are three important things to concider if you want to grow your business - (a) great communication with your managers / seniors; (b) looking for smth bigger (this is harder that seems to be) and (c) be able to work as intern if the situation needs this approach. Ofc you can have a successful story even without these parameters, but if you want to be a professional, the choice is obvious
ОтветитьCan you talk about how to become manager from IC?
ОтветитьIn my industry, directors have direct power over managers
