We are not talking about infinity stones that gave avengers powers. They represent time lines and infinity stones don't even work at the TVA. Point is without the Battle of New York and his father and mothers death I don't see this Loki accessing his full potential. For all those people claiming Wanda is more powerful. I doubt it. She would have been disintegrated in the loom. Not even Sylvie could survive, it had to be Loki. That's the price you pay for He who remains death or kill Sylvie and Loki was trying to forge another path. Old Loki would not hesitate to sacrifice one for billions but this Loki believes it's always another way. Purest in the heart of what he believes and unfortunately it still might not be enough. Meaning: a multi war might be inevitable. I believe this is only a temporary fix.

Doesn't this effectively end/dampen the Kang storyline? Now the timelines are effectively kept and guarded by Loki, meaning there's no need to fight over the Sacred Timeline. Kang variants can still try to conquer timelines, but now they're essentially infinite and no "main" one. If this fabulous ending also serves as a creative retcon to the MCU's planning it's really well-done.
