The Saudi economy is running in opposition to the Dubai economy. The only solution to have both economies to be running successfully is to run them side-by-side. Keep Saudia Arabia and UAE developments on a watch. Know the optimization factors that head the functionabilities of both the countries' developments relating to construction.
All of the other developments need to be revised as to how the management and maintenance are carried-out relative to newer developments, both in UAE as well as Saudi Arabia.

With all of that space, many of the residential plots are still so small! It's like a horizontal apartment building---squish in as many dwellings as possible. GREED!

IT's amazing they didn't think about how the water in the palms stagnates, stinking to high heaven.

Having seen all the pictures of Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Bugattis that were simply abandoned in the desert after their owners got bored with them, I can't help but see Dubai as the same thing but on a much larger and more rampantly wasteful scale. It's just another playtoy for the uber-rich who have no concept of the value of money, and when it no longer serves as a useful way to flaunt their opulence it'll simply be cast aside and swallowed up by the sand dunes without a second thought.

The problem with dubai is that it's bloody hot in the summertime and that reason number one why you don't see that many tourist there. And the whole city is built
around the car because you can't go anywere without one, so there's no nice city centre that is alive and has no sidewalks and bicycle lanes and no shops, bars and restaurants
with terrases with umbrellas and tables and chairs because it's just too hot for all that, so everything to do in inside buildings where the ac is running 24/7,
so it's not a tourist attraction at all. And then i don't even want to know the prices of everything, so like a hotelroom and food and drinks, because that must be expensive as hell because
they have to import everything themselves. And then their rules are insane because you can't drink alcohol and the only place to walk in swimshorts and bikini's is on a little beach,
and everywere else you need to dress up in propper clothes, and drink alcohol is not alowed in public places, so it's a dull place that isn't alive, so their idea of pulling alot of tourist
failed, because they won't come by the masses!

I don't think this guy knows what he is talking about. The Palm Jumeirah is a very popular and upscale area. The View at the Palm Jumeirah is the best in the city, you can see the whole city in front of you. It is also cooler temperature wise than the rest of the city since it is out in the water. The city is also extremely safe compared to anywhere else. People who complain about Dubai don't come from places where their governments are doing anything bold or new, they are most likely jealous.

The water surrounding these islands is very salty, brackish and generally nasty.

The continental islands would be incredible if the streets/blocks had country themes and were built with visitors in mind. Touring the islands over a few days would be a lot of fun.

All the Rich that built homes on these man-made sand islands are doomed to lose, cause the mighty Oceans that God created will take back what was stolen from it and Him. God created the Oceans for His fish and food for man, not for man to destroy, killing off of innocent creatures that God placed in the water's.

To say these things can be seen from space is a little bit out there. Yes, there's things be it natural or man-made can be seen when at a very high altitude, but space, not really. The so-called Astronots have said many times over that they can't go any higher than Low Earth Orbit, (LEO). Now these are the Astronots that are supposedly in the ISS orbiting the Earth. Anyone that's ever flown in a passenger Airliner knows you can see things only at a high altitude, 30 to 40 thousand feet. Just saying.
