Absolutely this is fucking disturbing it's happened to me today . Even customer service they don't want to help you after you purchased the themes they locked out the account . I have been ripped off by both ( envato and theme Forest )

Keep educating mate, I was about to buy one theme form envato but now I'll never ever buy from them. I've bought elementor.

Never ever buy any theme from Envato. There was no documentation with it, and Envato will not refund your money. It’s actually quite frustrating dealing with them.

All the shit wp bakery theme are heavy as fuck. Better go use the elementor templates instead. FUCK THEME FOREST AND WP BAKERY.

If you want an idea of the kind of business Envato is, when I tried to buy one of their themes, my bank automatically flagged the purchase as fraudulent, after which Envato locked my account because the payment immediately bounced. Although at the same time, I'm beginning to think they just automatically lock every account so they can take your money, give you a zip file, and then hopefully you'll go to someone else for support. In my case, I got lucky. Dodged a bullet thanks to my bank's due diligence, and then I had a chance to do my own due diligence and run away bravely, without spending a dime. Stay tf away from Envato. If you need extra fancy premium themes full of premium plugins so you can build a big bloated buggy Wordpress site, you're probably better served by Template Monster. (Disclaimer: Not a customer, just got a way better vibe from them, do your own research)
In my experience though, most themes from those big sites are trash, or they may be put together well but they're super bloated, and too reliant on too many plugins. The moment you update one of them, everything else breaks, or one of them will get abandoned and updating any of the other ones will cause issues with the older one. You're really just better off getting a simple theme, and taking the time to make it yours with just the plugins you need, not a bunch of support infrastructure for some "15 websites in one even thought you only need one!" mega powerhouse theme.

I could never ever installed any ThemeForest theme via wp dashboard I had to go to FTP. I stopped buying them

Scammers, they took the money and locked the account

The authors on Envato are all taking a hard hit with fees and %. Commonly up to and over 50% of the purchase price. The vast majority are barely getting by. The creator is now a Billionaire.. this all contributes to the stress and lack of service from the authors. I can only take so much time to deal with a customers for a 7$ fee.. as I am close to living on a park bench.

This company ripped me off me too. I reached out to customer no phone number had to email. Currently fighting a claim now with PayPal.
