There are absolutely implied qualifiers on American rights: you have freedom of speech but you also have a responsibility not to lie. You have the right to keep and bear arms but you have the responsibility to not spill innocent blood. When you understand the responsibilities that come with your rights, it becomes a burning desire to speak truthfully and train almost endlessly.

My state doesn’t require classes for carry but I do dry fire. I’m still not the best shot but every time I see holes in the ceiling, floor, or wall I remember to not rush and warm up so to speak. Jeremy Clarkson said speed and power solves most things. I’d add on that speed and power can’t solve people’s ego at the range.

Training starts at home when you're young with a mother and father in your home. It's our responsibility to teach our kids gun safety... Lest their friends teach them when we aren't around.

"..well regulated" is a directive. The state should be supporting training. It should be a legal obligation of the state to facilitate it. Not give it for free. The state can offer nothing for free. It's too bad it's not viewed that way.

How TF do you shoot the ceiling at a range? 😂😂😂

On a serious note don not use these "tools" buy a glock airsoft "green gas" pistol if you have a glock and use it to train. Its cheaper and better. You can remove the magazine bb loader and spring then rack and fire alll day long.

Racking after every shot is redicoulous.

Most times I'm out in public I see the guy with an open carry uncle Mike's holster clipped on his basketball shorts, waiting for someone to take that off of him or to pull it and miss every shot. It's terrifying. I get the hell away from those people.

Why would you have to be larger to carry a 19 appendix? Loads of people with regular builds do it no problemo; and the longer barrel actually helps conceal!

On a side note I think indoor ranges that let you rent firearms are a huge plus as you can rent a DAO small revolver like a j frame that has that long heavy trigger pull load it with a mix of live ammo and spent ammo and really train your trigger pull and after putting a few rounds through that and you have that long trigger pull down it’s amazing how easy it is to get a smooth consistent trigger pull on something like a Glock or other striker fired handguns

I carry easy Ruger LCP. It has no manual safety. The pistol is the size it is so that I can carry it in my pocket without a glove. So that I can wear it in shorts or European fit stretchy jeans lol when I’m out on the beach or around the coast etc…

Given the reason it is so small and why I bought a 6+ one little 380 that is why I do not carry a large pocket holster that said, I do not carry in the chamber I feel like it’s an even trade I wish it had a manual safety so I could carry in the chamber

Well, Foggy, i just found you as recently as yesterday. Im realy enjoying the wise counsel and comprehensive way you teaching these inportent skills.

Hehehe
All do respect there's so many weird guy's living in there single parents basement praying game's about all sort of things including war game's.
And those top C.E.O.s don't even allow there own children to have a cell phone. For what I've learned on the internet.
Everything is true on the internet.
Yah right .
Ok bad joke .
The point is your making a difference. And if it only helps one of those pore soul's it's all worth it.
Keep going our youth and others need wisdom.
Those in CHRIST JESUS that dont have wisdom should ask HIM = GOD who tells us in HIS HOLY WORDS in the HOLY BIBLE to ask .
They should also ask for the discernment and understanding to apply the benefits of better thinking and morals that JESUS layed down HIS glory and life so we could stand agenst the devil and his people.
Praise GOD and stay the course brothers 🙏 🙌. Greater is HE who is in HIS people than he that is in the world.

Attaining proficiency before carrying is absolutely correct! But don’t assume those wall and ceiling shots are from folks who carry. In my experience at ranges those are predominantly from ruffians, people just having fun, and beginners. I’ll leave the range when I see some of those types.

Those holes in the ceiling are at every indoor range I have been to. I have a membership to local indoor range because I live in the city. And the range is a half mile from me. But it is honestly scary how untrained some of these citizens are.

I don’t think it’s fair to say that this is a man’s job. There’s plenty of people out there that are not men and want to protect their family. I’m not a man and I’m getting really into learning of safe firearm handling. And honestly everything I’m saying is so discouraging. It’s all about men using guns and never about women using guns.

Rights come with responsibility.

My hope is that the overwhelming evidence of poor marksmanship is the attempt of people learning to be responsible and not an indicator that those people after demonstrating said poor marksmanship, carry without further training.

From my experience interacting with people intending to carry, they are too afraid of the firearm because they haven’t trained to do so.

Awesome beginning ❤ My thoughts exactly. People are putting their rights over common sense. Another example is the border. Our Constitution allows people to migrate here. However, common sense tells us this will destroy our quality of life.

Whether it's the second amendment or migration, it's time to follow common sense first and foremost.

This video was very helpful. Even as an instructor myself, I gotta be honest with myself. I love shooting rifles and shotguns but I’ve noticed that pistol are more challenging to master and that 99% of the time, the gun you will use. Train train train. I want to know my carry gun like I know my cellphone. (With my eyes closed)

Ok I don’t agree that all those people should not be carrying. They made those mistakes at the range. That’s where I’d rather the mistakes be so that they can learn and not make them in the field. Where else will you make mistakes, where will you train to become better. Should you just be perfect as soon as the gun touches your hands.

You mirror so many SEALs that trained me in CQB. I couldn't disagree or vary a single point. I much appreciate your videos and feedback. I was asked to review a group of ODF militia guys a few years ago tp give them pointers. Holy shit, what a clusterfuck. Trigger discipline was non-existent. They actually argued with me over that and muzzling their team. I left after an hour. The "commander" wanted me to head their "special forces" as I was a licensed skydiver and combat vet. No. That militia is a group of undisciplined hunters and Fudds running it. The rounds in the overhead made me think of that group. I left them with one question. "Do you think the guy behind you isn't going to shoot you in the back "accidentally"? The room was quiet. They should watch this video. Edit - Plate carriers and a firearm do not make you a warfighter. You earn it through training. And training. And more training. To move as a cohesive team is a thing you can't do overnight. To move solo is to work daily and after many hundreds of hours, finally get to a point you MIGHT be good enough. I train daily because I know the edge is lost if I do not. I put my wife in reactive situations so she knows complacency kills. Even living on US soil.

So true, I remember the first test mandatory that I had to carry a gun in my country (many years ago), out of the 15 people that participated only I passed the range test. It was so easy, 5 shots on target at 6 meters, it is inconceivable and I thought to myself that these people cannot shoot if they are given untrained weapons they will cause an incident easy.

One thing to correct, yes many of the holes in the walls and ceiling are from concealed carriers but not all, some are from people who keep their guns on their night stands just in case and only shoot them once or twice when they first get them but your point still stands. I've seen quite a few newer shooters at public ranges that have a hard time keeping shots with a foot of where they are aiming but remember that we all started somewhere and not everyone starts with a good instructor so instead of laughing at them or simply shaking your head offer some basic and simple advice if they are receptive to it but don't be pushy.
