The correct way to carry a light machingeun (MG34 here it is) is to either to use the sling or to hold it by the shoulder piece resting the weapon with teeh receeever on teeh shoulder and absolutely to fold in the sights an also the bipod!

also pistols are not carried at the chest they are either carried in the issued waist holster or tugged behind the belt left and right from the "Gott mit uns" belt buckle!
Also note, a pistol is not carried in the Boots, boots are the correct place to carrie stick-grenades model 24 und 43

The MP40 is one of my favorite SMG's next to the PPsh-41 and The M1921 Thompson. Slow enough cyclic rate makes it quite controllable.

I used it in zombies and war zone

PPSH-41 is such a better submachine gun. The abysmal slow rate of fire on MP-40 is almost unacceptable.
