We tend to look at the dark side of life, I've read allot of wholesome and helpful posts on reddit and I like to think that just like how some people think humanity is irredeemable that there will always be people on it that will be friendly.

junky sub reddits a huge rabbit hole made one comment on a page and got 5 + dms from people in my area wanting to sell me smack in LA if I paid a finders fee.

I don't go on reddit, but it does have millions of people, it's all about who can get the most attention, whether that be hyper generous, or hyper degenerate.

I remember seeing a reddit post on AITA. The post described how a guy was being borderline sexually harassed by a girl, and the OP stepped in and defended the guy, because he couldn’t really speak for himself. It was kinda obvious the post described a middle/high school situation, but the comments were wack asf. people in there were completely ignoring the topic and talking about how it was stupid teenage drama and OP should’ve minded their own buisness.

It all falls back to their immaturity as people. That's the reason they do the degenerate things they do; they don't care about anyone else but themselves because they're not emotionally mature. This can be traced to their parents not raising them to consider others' feelings, as well as them allowing their own children to be eternally online, obviously resulting in brainrot and immaturity.

I went on a dark phase about 4 months ago in the "Bad Neighbors" or maybe "Mildly Infuriating" subreddit, and I remember this one story where a dudes neighbor built a pergola about a foot over his fenceline. Comments said the poster should go straight to the city, and report the "bad neighbor". There were some saying to take it straight to court without even talking to the neighbor. Well, the dude who originally made the post said he DID talk to his neighbors, and they quickly moved the pergola as they genuinely did not have any idea it was in the posters property, and was instantly resolved. Some of the comments were straight up heinous, they were just projecting what THEY would have done (Think neighbors from Hell X5 for A SIMPLE MISTAKE)
The topping on the cake was I even commented, calling out the pathetic excuses as a "neighborly response" and was downvoted to shit it got removed. The mods and community make this little echo chamber for themselves and anyone that tries to distrupt it will get attacked by the Hive Mind that is that subreddit. I fucking hate Reddit, its essentially a cult that will try and doctrinate you towards EXACTLY what they desire, and if you stray, get fucked

Echo chambers and their overall elitist attitude gives me the ick. There was a time where my comments were instantly downvoted to 0 even if I spoke my opinions out. I pondered the reason for this for quite a while.

Hours later, I made a follow up comment to the thread, it was a silly topic btw, about mbti signs and whatnot, and someone instantly replied to me a triggered paragraph, ad hominem style.

This Mf was stalking me, I felt creeped out the way he/she was triggered enough to downvote me still hours later, and then reply in an insulting manner.

I said f off and move on.

But some random, neckbeard energy guy still kept the arguments going, Pulling insults in a subtle manner. even if I had enough and needed sleep.
