i dont like "phonk" but I love the 90s Memphis rap scene. this 808 cowbell was used in some crazy variations by some of the O.G. Memphis producers.
one of my favorite songs with an insane 808 cowbell melody is "Tommy Wright 3 - Meet yo maker" another is "M.C. MACK - LETS MAKE A STAIN" (THESE ARE EASILY 2 OF THE BEST SONGS THAT UTILIZE THE 808 COWBELL)
"phonk" music is all inspired by the 90s memphis scene. the 90s memphis rap scene is far better than any Phonk music....thats for sure.
Hello!
I've met your channel through shorts, and I love how you do research and explain everything!
I like Scooter, and I've noticed that they began to use one (reverse-)bass, from the song "Nessaja" in 2003 up to 2012. But in "Nessaja" it's clearly layered, in "One", "Uhn tiss", "I'm lonely" (single), in almost whole album "Under the radar over the top", "C'est bleu" and "Army of Hardcore" it's also present.
I've found, that this bass was previously used by Citizen team (like Technoboy and Tuneboy) in 2002-2004. It's clearly audible and extractable in "Ravers' Rules" by Technoboy.
Can you make this?
Please make the synth or the flute of don diablo day and nite
Ответитьhi Sam, could you re-create the lead of “SHM - it gets better (Stockholm version)” please? ☺️
ОтветитьPhonk sounds absolute garbage to my ears and literally every song sounds the exact same. A truly soulless genre
Ответитьwoulda been cool to hear an example of it at the start of the video. I been watching for 5 mins, and still have no clue what to expect. not that familiar with phonk :)
